Thank you BIAB for adding the chord builder feature in the 2024 version.
Is it possible to add a chord minimum movement.
Can you add a chord minimum bass movement. When I checked the minimum movement.
I chose C to start, then the green color will prompt G/B
C - G/B - Am - C/G - F - C/E - Dm - G
C/E is often used, but I haven’t seen it.
Add commonly used chord progression prompts to the chord builder. For example, when I select C, some chord progression suggestions will automatically appear. Then let users quickly make their own choices.
Just hold down shift to enter the chord. If you don't hold shift, it would be more convenient to click on the chord in the chord builder and just listen.
Each time the left mouse click on the chord, the chord is entered into bar. If I don't want to type, I need to hold shift and click on the chord.
I don't think the logic is right.
Because we're going to be clicking on the demo a lot, clicking on the demo shouldn't be typing. Once we confirm that we are ready to type, hold shift and click, and it will be typed. Isn't that better?
Otherwise, it will change every time you click, which is easy to confuse people.
A left mouse click on each chord is just an audition. If you confirm the input, hold down shift and click Chords to enter chords.
Swingbabymix, you have good ideas, but I highly recommend to follow the Minimum information principle when posting, your chances of getting support from other users will be much greater if you present your ideas concisely, without mixing them with each other (if you have two different ideas, just open two different posts instead of mixing it all up in a long, hard to follow, post).
Having said that:

Yes I also think that most users would prefer: - Click on a chord: preview chord without entering it. - Shift + Click on a chord: preview and enter chord.
Another, maybe simpler and better option without reinventing the wheel, would be just to use the same option used in the chord picker:

I agree with you! When auditioning chords it should not require two actions (shift + left-click.) We are always going to do a lot more auditions than insertions so make auditions the simpler way!
Chord Picker & Pregression Builder: Preview Chord > Click Enter Chord > Select "Enter chord when clicked" option + Click
Close Cerio, but I don't want people to have to read a six-hundred-page manual to figure out how to use it. Would you not agree that the most common usage of this tool would be searching for the best chord or chord progression? Here is a simplified flow.
Chord Picker: Preview Chord > Click (You are searching for the best chord so there will be many tries before making a decision) Enter Chord > Select "Enter chord when clicked" option + Click
Progression Builder: Preview Chord > Click (You are searching for the best chord PROGRESSION so there will be many tries before making a decision) Enter Chord > Select "Enter chord when clicked" option + Click
