I'm trying to find MIDI drums, and they are not showing up in the Multipicker or in the Drum picker. Is there some checkbox I missed? There are tabs for everything else, but not this.
And must drums always be on the third track?
I realize after using BIAB for thirty years I should know these things, but I just can't find them. Thanks.

I got you Matt. No shame in your game trying to figure this out... And regarding using the "3rd track", If you don't want extra problems to accompany your drums, best to keep them right there.

Matt, MIDI drums are not a separate identity thus they will not show up in the Multipicker or in the Drum picker. You will have to choose MIDI drums from either a MIDI style or a RT style that has the MIDI option. Note that you should have a good MIDI drum sound source as the GM MIDI drums are not very good IMHO. Most of the good MIDI drum sound sources also come with MIDI drum loops and/or complete tracks. Also a number of companies have MIDI drum loops. I have a bunch from GrooveMonkee that fit perfectly with BiaB: https://groovemonkee.com/As far as the drums only on the third track I don't know. I just take them into my DAW where I can move and modify them. I have never tried to move any tracks around in BiaB. Update - I just quickly tried to move tracks around in BiaB but I couldn't do it.
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

That’s exactly what I needed. I can’t believe I never knew this. Thank you both. So I’m not going crazy (today, anyway).
While I was waiting for the answer, I wrote the drum parts myself, so I’ll try this another time.

Matt.
haveing set up a midi drum track...remember you have sforzando and synthmaster with their drum sounds that pg include with bb and rb. as well as a ton of often free drum plugins you can get on the net. so the midi track from the style sends midi data to the drum plugin and thus the drum sounds are produced. There are also drum styles in rb for quickie drum tracks in various musical styles seperate from midi in pg styles...see the rb manual. these have been around for a long time and i encourage you to experiment with them in rb....youll notice via dialog in rb you can select many drum styles eg rock or waltz or whatever. for example in rb you could have a mixture of pg real drums on various tracks as well as midi drum tracks...thus if you want you could create the illusion of two drummers eg one rd in a bossa style and a midi bossa style.
i gotta stop there cos otherwise this would go on for pages but suffice to say theres a ton of drum midi tricks in rb. you can also if you wish in rb have lots of midi drum tracks or mixtures of rd and midi drum tracks. i encourage you to delve into the rb manual as well as the right click over a rb track which will result in a loooong menu with a load of options. ...skys the limit. the options in the looong rb right clik menu ive never seen the combo in any daw.
hth.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
