You need to post a pic of the Tracks view or Audio Edit view of the Loop track to see if you have the waveform.

After I entered the track, sometimes it generated, sometimes it didn't. It's weird.
It's not stable.

Just like in the screenshot. LOOP1 is successful, LOOP2 is never created. I don't know what went wrong.

Also, can LOOP be generated separately? I hit Generate All every time.

The strangest thing is that he may generate it later. Everything depends on luck.
So, is this actually a bug in Biab, or is it a personal operational issue for me?

SwingBabyMix,

You may want to make sure you are using the exact same steps every time. I find sometimes I get in a hurry and will change how I perform a task and not even be aware of the change.

There are still issues with Biab, sometimes it won't generate the RealTrack either and sometimes it's impossible to delete the track, I try Erase, delete or cut and it just stays there same with Undo but then all of a sudden it's gone. Maybe it's not refreshing or updating things ?

So, you're having the same problem?

Posted By: musocity Re: Why doesn't LOOP sound? - 02/09/24 01:44 AM
Yes I have issues.
They should get around to fixing them, maybe they are working on the Mac version now and have not put time into fixing current Win version ???

Then some problems appeared in the MAC version, and were they repaired?

I can only use the WINDOWS version, and I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible.
In fact, I am looking forward to having a big respawn button next to each track in the mixer or track, so that I can generate it myself.

Please write down the exact steps.
Loops work for me, but my loop list looks completely different than yours.
Are you using your own private loop list library?

hello.
Yes. This is the LOOP I made myself. It can be used normally in BIAB2023.

Let me try to help you.

Bug: Loops that are brought in externally to BIAB 2024 will not loop on track.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Import a user directory of loops.
2) Select one of those user loops to use on a track
3) Hit regenerate

Expected results:
The loop plays indefinitely on the track.

Actual behavior:
The loop does not play or even load.

Can someone with user loops please CONFIRM this?

Thanks

Hello.

We have done some testing in-house and have not been able to replicate the issue. I will pm you directly swingbabymix and post an update.

Thank you!

OK

Other friends mentioned above that they also have this problem. You haven't had this problem?

Can you record a video and show it to me? Is it normal?

You mean your LOOP is normal, is it the 2024 version?
Can you take a video and let me see it?

Change the folder name and try
0021'm Blue 128 BPM
0021m Blue 128 BPM

What does this have to do with folders?

1: I used to be able to use it normally in 2023.
2: Even if I use the official LOOP, there will still be problems.
Posted By: musocity Re: Why doesn't LOOP sound? - 02/09/24 10:56 PM
Try copy them into the root folder and see if they work, if so it maybe a path issue.
EDIT: also try renaming to simple name loop01.wav loop02.wav

I don't think it has anything to do with this. The reason is that's how I've always written.
BIAB's official LOOP may also have problems. Do I still have to modify all official BIAB folders?
This is a video I took. I used the official LOOP.
I don’t necessarily know when my LOOP will appear, but I don’t know when it will be generated.
It all depends on luck.

Then, even if I used the official LOOP, the problem mentioned above still occurred. I also recorded a video and posted it above. grin

Check to see if your custom loops have bt1 or bt6 files in the same folder - they should. If not, perhaps it is an issue with the wave file format. Also, double-check you are running 1109.

I'm not sure what the issue is with the 'normal' loops, even though I watched your video - can't explain that...

Yes, these files are available (bt1 or bt6)

The video means that LOOP cannot be generated.

---

If yours is fine, could you please record a video with no problem? I've asked a lot of people this question.

I didn't say change the folder I said copy some of those loops to the ROOT folder and name them Loop01.wav Loop02.wav
It's not a hard thing to try to rule out any filename path issues.

ok.
I put it in the root directory, but it still doesn't work. BIAB cannot generate LOOP.

Loop01AcidInfo.zip
Try these in the ROOT

Must be a local issue at your end:

You later said it was my problem.

But I had no problem before 2023.

The same file works on my PC, the same file will not work on your PC
What is the different ?

Your folder is D:\BB\RealTracks\Loops
mine is E:\bb\RealTracks\Loops

your version is 1009
mine is 1009

are you running Biab from D: or C: ?

I run from C: and have tracks on E:\bb
Posted By: musocity Re: Why doesn't LOOP sound? - 02/10/24 09:38 AM
Try and change the folder name BB > bb
D:\BB\RealTracks\Loops > D:\bb\RealTracks\Loops

It's not possible. I have tried to modify it. The problem is not generating.
Posted By: musocity Re: Why doesn't LOOP sound? - 02/10/24 09:41 PM
So it was generating in 2023 but not in 2024 ? so all 2024 1003-1009 versions don't work ?
Are there any loops that work all the time ?

This has ACID info embedded is does not use AcidInfo.txt biab/Bass-4beats-Croot-90bpm.zip

Fortunately you don't have much time to devote to Biab.

It doesn't matter to you or me but to some it may be an important part of their workflow. Plus if it is supposed to work then it should work.
Posted By: musocity Re: Why not LOOP sound? - 02/11/24 08:32 PM
Do the loops work in the BB VST in Studio One ? Studio One should handle loops natively shouldn't it ?
You just need to wait until it's fixed, as I said they are probably all working on the Mac version now.
Necessity is the mother of invention that's why I use Reaper from years of frustration with Biab/RB I was forced to it, as I can script something the same day to do what I need, so the sooner I get the tracks out of Biab the more control I have. Studio One NEEDS to openly release all the scripting info rather than having to have CIA clearance to access it.
I was having issues with Biab not being able to change loops at any bar in the past so I made a script to do it in Reaper:

I added and removed Loops to the Loops folder and they did not show even after a restart, BUT when I went to the Styles Tab and did a rebuild of Styles and RealTracks they all showed up so maybe try a rebuild.
Posted By: MoultiPass Re: Why not LOOP sound? - 02/12/24 10:49 AM
That's exactly it, I also added various and varied loops and after rebuilding the styles they are widely usable. Logical as we know that the reconstruction verifies the RT and RD. So also the loops.
