BB claims no DXi synths installed, but Realband finds and uses it OK

BB 2008.5 displays an error when I click on the box to use the DXi synth, claiming none are installed, however, on the same computer, Realband happily let's me choose the DXi synth option, and it works well.

I just reinstalled 2008.5 to see if the problem would clear up, but it made no difference.

You probably need to run the "search for vst/dxi synths" from within the Biab menu. Biab is not "pointing" to the correct file path for the Dxi synth.

Also, have you checked to see if the Dxi synth box is checked in the midi driver menu in Biab? There is a check mark box that needs to be activated in Biab in order to use a Dxi synth.

Once that opens, use the search for plug ins in that menu area of the Dxi synth. It is found under the "options" button in the Dxi dialog box.

One other thing to try would be delete the file: "DXiPluginList.ini" from your BB folder.

I couldn't find the search option on the menus, but deleting the ini file fixed the problem.
