I was having trouble with the older version of BIAB for iPhones crashing when I tried to download MGU files on my iPad 1 using the "Download songs from PC or Mac on same network", so I checked the App Store for an update.

I'm unable to get the BIAB for iPad app to do anything more than displaying a splash screen before it shuts down.

Is it incompatible with the iPad 1 (which can't go beyond IOS 5.1.1)?
