I can't seem to get BIAB to hold a chord longer than one bar (which is particularly useful for endings).
I type the chord followed by ... for a held chord but it doesn't sustain longer than the bar.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Just to clarify...

1. Do you have the 2 bar automatic ending engaged in BIAB?

2. If you answer 'yes' to #1, where do you type the chord X... ? Is it in the 'ending' region of the automatic ending?

Also, the length of the hold is determined by two things...

(a) Whether or not there is a chord in the following bar. If the bar following X... doesn't have a chord in it, the X... should continue holding provided (b) below applies adequately.

(b) The second condition is that the length of a hold is also dependent on the natural decay of the instrument that's being held. Some instruments have the ability to hold notes longer than others and some will resonate longer as the note dies away.

Regards,
Noel

Thanks Noel. This seems to have done the trick. Because I use RealBand more so than BIAB, I'd forgotten about the two-bar ending option.
Cheers,
Mike
