I've encountered this problem before but can't remember how I corrected it. I want to record vocals. It comes out of the left channel only. Everywhere I know to look says "stereo". "mono" is not checked in Real Band. What am I doing wrong?

What interface are you using? What input did you set up?

Are you recording a mono mic into a stereo input? If you have your software set to record stereo then you will get only one channel recording. Try setting your software to record only on the left channel and you will get a mono recording that will play back on both sides.

Things like this are fixed in the software applet for the interface. Open the audiobox software mixer and check the settings there. Make sure that when you open a track in the DAW that you have as mario said the left channel chosen, and that the track input in the mixer is set to mono and the track in the daw is mono.
