Hello All,

Here is a strange one. I have been using RealBand for several years and recently upgraded to 2014 (I upgrade every year). I have never had any problems when mixing down a stereo wave with VST effects. I use the menu command Merge Audio VSTi/dxi Tracks to a Stereo Wave File. Yesterday I was trying out the Mastering VST, the CS12M from Terry West. Ever since then, RealBand will only output a Mono file. I bring the final file into Audacity to finish and it is only a Mono file no matter what I try. I went back to Power Tracks 2013 and loaded the same Stereo Wav file, mixed it down with my normal VST Routine, PG Dynamics -> PG Ten Band EQ -> PG Peak Limit -> PG RTA, and no problem. I loaded the file into Audacity and it was Stereo. I have looked back at all the settings in RealBand and compared them to PowerTracks, and I am not seeing any differences. I re-ran the RealBand_2014_build3_patch and nothing changed. RealBand is still generating a mono file. Any ideas?
Thanks Darren

Did you accidentally enable the Mono button on the mixer?

Reinstalling a patch won't reset things, to reset RB;
Rename Realband.ini and RB.cfg (don't delete, just rename)

Then restart realband.

Rharv,

Thanks for the reply. Are you talking about the check box at the bottom of the mixer? It was definitely not checked. I won't be able to try reseting until later today. I will let you know once I try.

Thanks
Darren

RHarv,

Success! I renamed the files as you instructed. Opened RealBand and Merged the tracks. It generated the stereo file like it normally does.
Thanks for the help

Darren
