Has anyone tried upgrading to the latest mac OS? I’m planning to, but I’m not sure if BIAB will work fine with this.
Hello Froi,
We have 2018 Band-in-a-Box running on 10.14 currently. You should be fine to upgrade!
I have upgraded as well. No issues so far.

That's great! I have upgraded already but haven't use BIAB yet with the OS. Thanks!!!
If you rebuild your song lists then you will lose the sort order. No fix has been announced for this yet in BIAB 2017 (and one may not be made available). Not sure about 2018.
Hi Keith,
Are you referring to the SongPicker? When I test it, the songs are sorted alphabetically by file name, and I haven't actually seen this not work correctly. Would you be able to send us a screenshot showing incorrectly sorted songs?
You can email it to support@pgmusic.com
Thanks

I’ve had the same issue since MacOS 10.13, which introduced the APFS file system. My workaround was to create an HFS+ disk image and keep my Song folder on that.
Right, a lot of programs ran into issues with sorting lists once APFS was introduced. This doesn't seem to affect every machine though, as my SongPicker list is still sorted by file name, using High Sierra. I've now seen one instance of the SongPicker that was actually unsorted though, so was able to confirm the issue and report it.
Thanks

I experience a bad dialog, saying "iCloud drive may not work properly. Please check the iCloud preference pane"...
I am not sure that this annoying dialog appears, because of BiaB, but it happens to appear just when I reinstall BiaB 2017...Want to ask the technical stuff if they know something about it.
The unsorted SongPicker is not a rare phenomenon. I'm on my 3rd MacBook Pro now and did a clean install every time. Always ending up with an unsorted list. I do keep my songs outside the app folder. As an old time Mac user it gives me the shivers to save songs in an application folder.
Well, actually it is not unsorted because if you throw away SongList3.bin the new one will have exactly the same order. In mine the first in the list is always Ain't Misbehavin'. So it is a bug with a sense of humor.
BTW. Not only 3 MacBooks but also High Sierra through Mojave 10.14.2
Perhaps you could provide a utility that would sort the file externally. That way you don't have to patch all the versions of BIAB that have the bug. A command line program that runs in Terminal would be fine - navigate to the correct directory and run the fix.
The 10.14.4 update fixed the sorting issue for many apps. I haven't paid much attention to BIAB in that regard.
I have 10.14.5 and the sorting issue is still there in BIAB. I have decided not to buy any BIAB upgrades until there is a 64-bit Mac version, so I'm still using BIAB 2017 (186).
