Mel turned his stuttering into a comic art-form.

Another talented performer has left the stage.

Trying to find the YouTube video clip where Mel tells of sharing a hotel room with another performer who was sound asleep while their room was being ransacked and burglarized. Mel was tongue-tied and unable to shout a warning so he sang it at the top of his lungs. Funny to hear Mel relate it.

Definitely a talented man. While admittedly not super familiar with his work, I remember my mother would sing Coca Cola Cowboy around the house when I was growing up. Another one leaves the stage indeed.

R.I.P. Mel Tillis

Sad. frown It feels like so many people are leaving this world far earlier than we would like. R.I.P.
