Soundsonline and EWQL are giving away a free starter version of their flagship orchestral VI. I have Dled it but have not played with it yet. Grab it while you can.

Thank you Mario. You always seem to find some pretty good stuff.
Happy Christmas to you and yours,

Some very tasty stuff in here. This is a keeper for sure. But will it play as a plugin in RB?? I'll let you know.

Error in RB

"..East West\vstplugin\play_VST_x64.dll is not a valid VST plugin."
Any ideas?

However, does work nicely when the midi is exporte via D&D to Reaper.

Does anybody have this up and running in RealBand?

The download provides both a 32 and 64 bit version. I went with the 64 bit which I can not run in RB. Perhaps someone will try the 32 bit?

When I saw the size of the file, and realized that was only part one, I canceled the download.

I tried the Windows 32 bit version but no joy after two installs. The stand alone Player could not start up and the VSTi didn't show up in Sonar after a scan. I didn't bother trying it in anything else so out into cybertrash it went.

I have Sonar Home Studio and the VST plug-in was located under Soft Synths >> vstplugins and it was called Play_VST.

To get it to work, you need to load at least one sound into synth. To do this, use the "Browser" option on the top right of the user interface. You will probably need to navigate to where you installed the program and load in the sample instruments. These are in a sub-directory off the installation folder. (Mine was c:\EWQL Orchestra Library)
