Hello there,

I want to introduce my first song to the user showcase. Hope you have fun listening ... smile

Alles ist gut
URL: https://on.soundcloud.com/YH4cy

Uplifting song in german language. Life is fun, sun is shining, let's dance! smile
The song title translates "Everything is fine" or "All Good" ...

Used BiaB Style is _stirrup.sty with muted drums and mandoline:
~537: Bass Acoustic, Pop Sw165
~373: Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Hank Sw165
3175: Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm CampfireFastSwing Sw165

I took the BiaB arrangement "as is" to a friend to record the vocals. Recording and mixing was then done with Cubase. We also re-added drums to the arrangement with EZ Drummer.

Alles ist gut
Music and Lyrics: Alexander Bär

Alles ist gut, komm, lass uns singen
alles ist gut, die Sonne lacht
alles ist gut und wird gelingen
alles leichter als gedacht

Alles ist gut, komm, lass uns tanzen
alles ist gut, es ist so weit
alles ist gut, wir stehn zusammen
bis in alle Ewigkeit

Trübsal blasen, das war gestern
das tu ich mir nicht nochmal an
heut will ich mich des Lebens freuen
absolut und ganz spontan

Alles ist gut, komm, lass uns singen
alles ist gut, die Sonne lacht
alles ist gut und wird gelingen
alles leichter als gedacht

Frag die Hoffnung, frag die Liebe
wofür es sich zu leben lohnt
schick deine Sorgen in die Wüste
oder schieß sie auf den Mond

Alles ist gut, komm, lass uns singen
alles ist gut, die Sonne lacht
alles ist gut und wird gelingen
alles leichter als gedacht

Alles ist gut, komm, lass uns tanzen
alles ist gut, es ist so weit
alles ist gut, wir stehn zusammen
bis in alle Ewigkeit

Alles ist gut, wir stehn zusammen
bis in alle Ewigkeit
bis in alle Ewigkeit

Looking forward to any kind of comments ...

I translated the songtext to english with a little help of Aunt Google ... wink

Everything is fine
(Alexander Bär - translated by Google)

Everything is fine, come on, let's sing
everything is fine, the sun is shining
everything is good and will succeed
everything easier than expected

Everything is fine, come on, let's dance
Everything is fine, the time has come
Everything is fine, we stand together
forever

Gloom, that was yesterday
I won't do that to myself again
Today I want to enjoy life
absolutely and completely spontaneous

Everything is fine, come on, let's sing
everything is fine, the sun is shining
everything is good and will succeed
everything easier than expected

Ask hope, ask love
what is worth living for
send your worries to the desert
or shoot them at the moon

Everything is fine, come on, let's sing
everything is fine, the sun is shining
everything is good and will succeed
everything easier than expected

Everything is fine, come on, let's dance
Everything is fine, the time has come
Everything is fine, we stand together
forever

Everything is fine, we stand together
forever
forever

Kind Regards
Alex

Nice tune! Too bad it arrived a little late for Oktoberfest. This would sound nice in a biergarten for sure! The BiaB instruments sound very natural how you've used them. Like the key modulation near the end. Might want to think about ways to vary the backing instruments over the course of the song, maybe with shots and/or holds on one or both guitars. Think you're on the right track with everything. Keep it up, BiaB gets easier and generally sounds better the more you use it. Welcome to the User Showcase forum!

All is good, Alex. Yes, it's a very uplifting feel. One needs not know the language to hear the fun. A fun group song, like DC Ron says, for Octoberfest. The change of key adds to the uplifting and even gives it a "where's my stein" kind of urgency. Love the lyrics. Thanks your auntie for the translation. smile

Catchy tune. I like that you translated the lyrics into English and also show the German. Took four years of high school German many years ago and surprisingly, I remember some of the words.

Welcome to the forum, Alex.

Production sounds good. Music is up beat. The bass has that oompah sound to. I can imagine everyone raising their glasses in the beer hall and singing together.

A happy bouncy song.
Well done and welcome.

If you listen to the very 1st Alles ist gut and compare it to the others you'll probably notice a bit of aggression/crack/distortion on the 1st syllable.
That could be addressed by manually reducing the level on the attack of that syllable OR copying & pasting another iteration from elsewhere in the song.
Definitely a sing a long story & melody.
Der Song ist auch gut

Alex,

Terrific first post to the forum. Catchy, fun, foot-tapping tune with an uplifting sentiment. DC Ron has it right . . . a good Oktoberfest type tune. Good production and admirable vocals. Hope to hear more from you!

My very best to you,

Deej

A very happy song, Alex.
I like the melody. The music could use a few twiddly bits here and there.

Dankeschön again for all your friendly comments. Very much appreciated! smile

I wrote this song after listening a lot to 60s pop music. I tried to catch the simplicity of these melodies and lyrics. So I grabbed my guitar, strumming and humming around a C mayor chord progression and eventually came up with "Alles ist gut - Everything is fine". It took of course around two or three weeks to polish the lyrics and stripping down the number of chords to 4 ... wink

Thank you for listening and commenting. Everything's fine smile

Thx Misha! smile

The translation by Google isn't very lyrical, but it seems to have kept the message of the song.
