Well, Daley/Chay, that's QUITE a moody theme song! The band is nicely assembled in support and the mix is quite nice. Like your harmonic choices as well. The solos seemed to come in a bit loud but that might just be me. Now, where IS my Aston Martin? I'm in the mood to deal with some bad guys...

Nicely crafted tune, I agree the organ solo is a bit loud when it first comes in. I would have liked more song dynamics as the tune had me watching the surf thru my toes but soon looking around for more that never came. Overall a great composition. I listened to the whole song and enjoyed it. My 2 cents is worth exactly that LOL.

Sounds great.
I really liked that B3 lead!
Great use of RTs.
Super mix.

Well, Mr. Agent Guy - You know how to put a song together - that much is evident. Loved the B3 - a legacy instrument. Cool song with a lot to like!

Daley Knightly. Ha. I remember a school where one kid was Sunny Day, and another was Sunny Knight. They werre both putchers and catchers, so you can imagine how the sports writers in that town looved the lines.

Very cool how you built this tune, Chay. wAo! Now I know how to pronounce that. Excellent choice of instruments. {Warning: incoming opinion ->} That organ solo should sit a little back in the mix. I see Rick agrees, and for my 2 cents I expect change. HAha. Interesting images in the video. You also captured the secret agent vibe and expanded it. Well done.

Hi Chay!

I love that spoken introduction! When I heard the name "Daley Knightly", I couldn't stop laughing. That's very clever!
You've produced a great creation.
When the horns come in, it really lifts up a few notches.
Nice!

Well.. you got my attention and managed to keep hold of it for all of the 5:48!

All the best,
--Noel

Very clever! Great mix.

Wow!

I mean wao!

But it left me wondering:

Does a pine cone in a forest miss the tree once it has fallen???

Apologies in the delay responding - I have too much on my plate besides the pre-Xmas faff! - but thanks DC Ron, Rick, Mario, Alan, Marty, Noel and David for listening and commenting.

Mario & Alan: what is the B3 of which you speak? That baffled me as there's no B3 mentioned in my Styles list.

Noel: The name Daley Knightly comes from a parody on spy and detective TV series I'm writing. All of the characters have comic names and there's one enemy spy in it called Anita Noe!

David: Re "Does a pine cone in a forest miss the tree once it has fallen?" That's clearly spy code, but depending on the circumstances the reply can be "What does a mirror look like when no-one's looking at it?" or (bizarrely) "Is the Count of Abacus eating mackerel with your first fore-mother tonight?"
Sometimes it's just so hard being a fictional spy. cry

I think it's actually the Dreamy Pop organ on your list of tracks. It sounds much like a B3 - I should have looked closer at your list of tracks. My bad!

That track is a hybrid of the Dreamy Pop Quintet & Country Rock Guit' So' Pop Ba organs, though I now can't recall why I did it that way; though I often 'cut and paste' different samples together to create better solos.

Thanks Peter! smile

Cool song and video!
We were in the right mindset for it too, having listened to Larkin Poe performing the Peter Gunn theme last night. 😊

Excellent BiaB session folks with good guitar and organ solos.

Stay safe, Agent Wao!

Hello WaoBand,

It's a stylish song with a great B3 organ.
I'm also a big fan of the B3 organ.
I like the modulation part of this tune.
The video is also great.
Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

Nice use of BIAB. A pleasant backing track.

Thanks to J&B, Shigeki Adachi & Floyd for your much appreciated comments.

I've just discovered that I spelt the name of organist Gene Rabbai incorrectly as Rabai, above on this post, plus checking back on 6 more out of 12 total posts, but it seems that once a thread is going the original post can neither be edited nor deleted.

I like that you crafted a secret agent theme song. Good work using all the different real tracks. There is a lot of creativity on display here, Tom

Hey, Bob-a-ree-Bob, again, thanks for the positive response on this tune, too. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the response Tom. When I first had the idea for spy-type theme I didn't think I'd be able to do it with BiaB, but a few days of never--ending sampling, experimenting and arranging paid off! I'm really pleased with the result, plus am grateful for the postive comments. Thanks again.
