It's that time again folks. 5090 songwriting challenge started today. Here is the first song, hopefully of 50, all the tracks are Band in a Box, as always suggestions and comments welcome, thanks!

Really cool song!! Great vocal, great arrangement! I really like returning to the soloed guitar. I hear a little Roy Orbison on the word "blue". The one thing that hits me kind of funny is when the drums come in without a fill beforehand, and stop abruptly at time. Great work! Take care. Greg
I think Greg's on the something with the Roy Orbison - and that's always a good thing. In fact I could've just +1 on his comments and saved myself some typing....
This is great. I like it a lot Robert.
Oh and hats off for doing the 50/90 - one of these I'm going to have to try it.

Good job Robert. Plus one from me too. I will agree that "blue' may sound a bit like Roy Orbison but to me the structure of the song and lyrics have the feel of a Paul McCartney composition. Enjoyed the song.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated! thanks Greg for pointing out about the drums, when I finally have time I will put a fill in before the drums come in; During the 50/90 not much time for alterations.
very inventive dynamics! I really like the creativity of it. The drums may need a bit of foreshadowing. ?
much enjoyed!
Hi Robert,
We agree with most of the previous comments, but altogether a nice song with very nice choice of real tracks.

Cool song, Robert! I like it. Good luck on the next 49! - floyd
Heh. I was thinking it was a bit barren, and then the drums caught me by surprise.
Fun song, and ditto with the Roy Orbison vibe.
Nice! I don't think I written 50 songs in my life
Best to you!
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback!
