TENDER NIGHTS

Yet another melodic instrumental, this time a waltz since I just don't think we get that many of those around here (or in modern music for that matter).
As with my two latest submissions on here, I initially made this one rather quickly for a CD to be able to contribute something for the family last christmas at a last minute. I think it worked out alright, all things considered smile

Anyway, here's the fundamentals, per usual:

Style is M_NIGHTS.STY

RealTracks in style: ~926:Bass, Acoustic, Jazz Waltz Sw 085
RealTracks in song: ~1496:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm JazzWaltzNY Sw 085
RealTracks in song: 1986:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm JazzWaltzFreddie Sw 085 (set to Held)
RealDrums: RealDrums in Style: JazzBrushesWaltz: a: Brushes b: Snare, Ride

Enjoy! cool

Very cool tune. Nice relaxing listen
First to the scenery yet again, my good man, much obliged as always.

And 'relaxing' says hits-the-mark in my book cool

Very chill, a fun listen.

Wouldn't of known you did this last minute, sounds like a good amount of thought was put into it.

definitely looking forward to hearing more songs in this style!

Keep em coming!
Eddie,

Really enjoyed this.

The choice of style is certainly perfect for what you've presented.

Well, I'd like to hope it wasn't completely void of all thought whatsoever! grin
I guess what I meant is, it wasn't one of my "from a need within" kind of compositions, if that makes sense, nor did I allow myself to mull over miniature details back and forth as I'm prone to in my eternal search of perfection, because I just did not have the time for such luxuries this time around.
Based on the feedback, it looks like the end outcome didn't suffer too much from the unusual circumstances, so I'm going to try resist the urge to go tweak it after the fact laugh

Really? Why, thank you kindly - in that case, I just might wink

That's good, since the choice of style was actually the starting point to this one. From there, BBox chipped in with some parts of the actual composition, which played a significant part in how I was able to get it done faster than perhaps I'd normally do (or even prefer).

Thanks for the feedback cool
Very nice! Something a little different than what you typically hear here, and that's a good thing!
I like that attitude ...ok, lame pun but hey, it's friday night! crazy
Hi Icelander,

Another of what i call "comfortable songs". Kick back and get comfortable in your easy chair, put on the cans, close eyes and listen. Nicely done! Thanks for a nice change on the forum. We need one of these once in a while.

Alan

PS: I was in Reykjavik and Keflavik in 1973. Very pretty in the summer!
I hadn't thought of it that way but I'll take it, thanks cool

p.s. The phrase "put on the cans" is a new one to me confused
Very nice! Nice bass line with that RT. I (Bud) always seemed to struggle a bit on the upright when it came to waltzes...not that the two of us don't like them.

The performances, the arrangement, and the high clarity mix make this a most enjoyable listen.

Relaxing and laid back but always engaging!

Well done.

J&B

PS You on vibes?
Loved the relaxing, soothing and easy listening flavor of this song. Really nice!!
Walking by a frozen pond watching skaters glide along

Your song is very inspirational.

You just may on to something neat there. If you feel the urge to take this further and have a proper shot at lyrics, you most certainly got my permission cool

Thanks but I can't take any credit for that part, that's all on BBox's brilliance.

Can't hope for it much better than that, thanks likewise for the feedback & listen cool

Yup...well, the melody part (doubled manually on keyboard with Pipeline's guitar VST to the other speaker). I bailed out of the soloing this time around due to the tight timeframe I was up against. Delegated to BBox artist instead, who despite there being no actual waltz vibes (take notice, PG), did a pleasantly commendable job.

Very tasty Eddie, keep 'em comin
Really well done Icelander - it is very calming, and definitely gentle on the ears. This is the kind of tune I can imagine a band playing in a fancy lounge. It sets a really nice mood.

Thanks for sharing smile

Precisely the setup I was aiming for, so thanks likewise for the listen & comments.

p.s. And to Mr. furry - The term "tasty" in terms of music is just too good! grin

It's just our American slang for putting on the headphones. We use a lot of slang! Again, nice song!
