We don't hear much of this genre on the forum. Your female vocalist knocks this out of the park! Really cool song! Do you have a list of the RTs you used?
Liked it a bunch!
Alan
Nice work on this, definitely reminiscent of club music from the 90's, and very different than what you typically hear on the showcase
How did Band-in-a-Box play a part here? Really curious to know!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Will! A very interesting choice for a dance tune. The arrangement is wonderful and fun to the ears. I agree with Deryk definitely reminds me of 90s' nightclub. Nice vocal samples too with Monique. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Deryk,
Thank you for your kind words!
As I wrote in my original post I used _BUBLGM4.STY which is:
RT 1930 Synth (bass)
RT 1934 Synth (Rhythm)
RT 2306 Synth (Rhythm)
RT 2307 Synth (Rhythm)
and
Realdrums=Eurodance^1-a.bass, Clap, b:bass, Snare
... and then of course the vocal from Monique.
Thanks for showing interest in my first few tracks in BiaB. I hope I will improve in the future.
Will
Very cool tune. Loved the harmonizing. Well done... The vocalist reminded me of Meghan Traynor
The sonic textures are excellent! Makes me want to dance, but I might throw my back out.
Hello, Will
Yes, this is certainly somewhere in a night club 1996, 3 am.
I entirely agree with Alan.
We don't hear much of this genre on the forum.
Your female vocalist knocks this out of the park!
Really cool song!
I also remembered Japanese composer Tetsuya Komuro's sound.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi
Thank you very much!
Never heard about Tetsuya Komuro - I will see if I can find his music - it is always nice to get new inspiration.
Kind regards,
Will
Yeah baby! This really brought back the memories.
Great job. Very fun.
Thank you, David!
And it was fun to make this song while learning some of the functions in BiaB.
Will
This is really good. Great groove with a fantastic vocal.
Will,
This is very engaging from start to finish. Monique does a super job with the vocals. That said, though, you've also done an equally super job composing, arranging and mixing this music. It's great!
All the best,
Noel
Thanks Noel, I'm almost lost for words. I didn't expect such great comments on one of my first songs in BiaB.
Thank you very much!
Will
Cool song . Good track for a gym workout
Good vocals , enjoyed listening.
Gary.
The only distraction was our sub-woofer dancing across the floor.
It's all here...great vocal, arrangement and production.
Another illustration of what a talented vocalist, a pro sounding production and BiaB can turn out.
Kudos!!!
J&B
Will, that was some great work that you have presented here! Everything sounds very good! The vocalist, as other have noted, is fantastic! Top notch effort here! Thanks, Torrey
Gary Weder, Janice & Bud and Torrey Bliss,
Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I am really surprised that so many people liked one of my first tunes in BiaB. It means a lot when it comes from accomplished artists like you.
Thanks for listening,
Will
Impressive! Great mix and vocals with Monique.
Thank you very much, Sundance!
Will
Great job. Surely far from my style and from the disco of 80's that I love so much, but very enjoyable.
Very nice vocals.
Sergio
Hi Sergio,
I love the styles from the 80's as well, but it is fun trying out other musical styles in BiaB.
Thanks for listening!
Will
Hi Will,
I have to admit that I never went to a night-club in the 90s (which dosn't necessarily mean that I never was drunk then
) and I don't know much about this music genre.
But no matter where I would have been and how many beers I would have had that night: I would have become totally sober within a second! Monique is a gas (yeah, reminds me of Meghan Traynor, too, which is VERY POSITIVE) and you managed to make her vocals sparkle.
Thanks for posting.
Thank you, Crossroads! Very kind words from you.
Thank you for listening,
Will
