Hello Nigel
Sounds fantastic
Hard to believe that you can do something like that on the computer
But no computer program in the world can do your vocals that well.
Really great, Nigel
Thanks for sharing
Many greetings
Andi ;-)
Great song and all-round performance here: vocal, band, production. Everything is in the pocket.
Cheers,
Mike
Nigel,

That is a slick sound! Those horns sound fantastic! They seem to be a real big step up from what was available before!

Great vocal on a wonderful swinging sound!

Thanks, Torrey
Sounds great, Nigel, love everything about this! I assume with the horns you had to do a lot of chopping and cutting so they didn't jump all over your vocal. At least that's my experience with past BIAB horn sections. Again, the whole package was brilliant!
Nigel...great 40's swing sound...great song for this styling and your vocal is perfect...You'd have to not like music to not like this...super job.
Great production, and fun song. As others said, the horns shine.

It's always fun to listen to your vocals - you really know how to deliver a line! laugh

Minor nit - there were a few points the horns sounded a bit chopped - 0:14, 0:42, 2:42 - but the first is the only one that really stands out - the others are on drum hits. It could be just me.

Great work, as usual!
Slick sound! Those horns sound great.

I hear what David is talking about at 0:14, an artifact of some sort. Should be able to isolate and fix in your DAW I would think. Didn't hear the other ones he mentioned.

Love your vocal!

There is a blues band here that has been around forever called the Downchild Blues Band, not sure if you know them where you are. Your vocal reminds me of their original singer, Hock Walsh.

Good one, Nigel, enjoyed!
Nigel

Excellent and impressive work editing the horns and the overall band.

Enjoyed the song, and the vocal, strong stuff.

Nice to hear what some of the new RT's are capable of.

Peter
Hi David,

Thanks for pointing them out - the one at 0:14 seconds was particularly annoying. I could'nt find the ones at 0:42 nor 2:42 but did find and remove one at 2:47.
I've reposted the corrected version on SoundCloud.

Thanks Again.

Best Regards
Nigel
Swingin' tight... great vocal, and cool horn arrangement...
What a great band, the drum intro really grabs attention and the horns are excellent. I really enjoyed the vocals too. Great demonstration of what BIAB is capable.

Janne
Nigel,

Excellent.

Horns sound great. Terrific vocals. Good mix.

A jumpin', jazzy-bluesy number. Great listen.

Good music.

Nigel,

Nice throwback song—while jazz, it definitely has a big band feel to me. Lyrics work well with the tune. The sax is outstanding in this. Really solid work on this one. Very cool!

All my best,

Deej
Excellent - an exemplar for BIAB for how their horns can be used.
Good vocal too.
Very cool tune Nigel. Boy do those horns give the song a cool groove. Makes you want to get up and dance. Awesome vocal. Sax was out of the world. Well done
Really captured that big jazz sound.
vocals are excellent.

Very nice!

moto
Hi Nigel,

We're not really jazz lovers, but this is a great song!
Gives us a happy feeling.
And makes one feel like dancing too.

Rob and Anne-Marie
Very Nice Nigel, Very Nice. Love the arrangement from start to finish !!
Nice tune, Nigel. Very good vocal. Very catching song. The horns sound really good. Nice job,

Allan
Nigel,
Another well done and polished tune. Listens very smoothly. I can't wrap it around my mind... are these "brand new" tunes or you have previous material that you re-arrange / redo? Great work. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.
Hi Andi,

Thanks for your generous comments.

Nigel

Hey Nigel,

I really like this. I have a soft spot for old school stuff like this myself!

smile

Nice job.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

The Big Bopper saw a light on and dropped in for a session with a big band.

Well performed and outstanding use of BiaB. THAT sax solo!

Enjoyed it!

Hi Torrey.

I agree - the new Horn section realtrack is great. They could add some stops which would make it even better.

Hi Tunemonger,

Yes it is a long labour of love editing the realtracks in my DAW ( Reaper). But if the realtracks are of sufficient quality then it's often worth it.

Best Regards
Nigel
Great arrangement and the horns and vocals were spot on. Enjoyed my listen.

Charlie
Oh, you had me at jazzy blues, Nigel. Hell, ya had me when I saw it was one of your songs. What a great band, and you worked them just right. Excellent vocal as always. You're right, BiaB came through with some really good horns this round. Excellent use of the new inspiring styles. Just a wonderfully fun song. I always get the impression you're singing to a whole crowd of happy people. I'm one.
Hi Firesong,

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Nigel
Mr. Spiers...

Once again, the committed exuberance of your vocal performance raised the BIAB tracks to a higher level of musical realism. The production sounds as though it was performed 'live' even though no audience is heard. Great work!

Did you accept BIAB's horn arrangement 'as-is', or did you edit it to achieve your own sound?

Classy swing, no question.

Those horns really pop.

The sax solo slots in just perfectly.
Hi Dave,

Thanks - I just had a listen to the Downchild Blues Band - a very good band.

Nigel
Hi Peter,

Hello Nigel,

Fabulous vocals in a swell song that starts like a machinegun!
Very swinging! My feet did strange things under my desk. It continues to behave like that for some time after your song stopped.
The docter said it was because of the song...

So, I enjoyed it a lot,
Hans

I edited the Horns significantly to fit around the vocals and sax. Also had to cut and paste to get some stops which are not available yet for this Realtrack.

Very cool. Big Band kinda stuff. I've seen a few big bands and jazz ensembles that played like this. Seeing a band play live gives a whole different appreciation for the music. You nailed it. Your vocals are the perfect compliment to the really tight band ...... mix is well done.
