So for week # 3 of FAWM I had to bring back Tater Totts. He is currently driving a truck back and forth into Canada so he has been hard to reach but he did one song. Thanks Tater.

Maybe you want some blues, though, so in honor of Dave Bell, Marty Straub, Chris Spruit and their bandmates, I brought Nothing Left to Lose. Your pick.

Although I am playing on both tunes, those interested in tracks for a song like Big Rig, you can check out the Brent Mason CountryTrainBeat styles and find all you want.

Lyrics on Soundcloud.

The truck'n country tune is a BIG sound.
you crossed several borders and the ozone layer with the scope of the lyric.

I REALLY like the way that blues solo came in loud, dirty & brief.
Love me some Tater Totts! Man, pretty sure I saw him when I was watching the news the other day, leading the convoy heading down the 401 to Ottawa.

Good stuff David, you made me smile with that one.

Your blues tune made me smile too. Thanks for the dedication! wink
"Big Rig" is definitely my favorite so far...
Lyrics are timely, and very clever... I love it.
You go, Tater.

Ha ha, thanks Ray!!

Hi David,

You immerse us directly in your world. It's very lively as a style with the lyrics well adapted. I had a great time listening to you sing the blues. Well done.

Tater is ALWAYS good for a laugh (or many).

An interesting mix of philosophies in that lyric. A bit for thinkin' people and a bit for people who have no brain.

Good stuff, Tater!!
Well, "Big Rig" certainly defied any expectations that I had.

Well played, sir.

"Nothing Left To Lose" is straight up blues.

Sounds like you're having fun, thanks for sharing! laugh

Thanks Dave! Your blues inspired me man, and I had to step up!!

smile
Looks like we got ourselves a convoy! Sumbitch!

Tater is a lot of fun and he sure has a lot of talent!

Great song.

PS Watch out for that Trans Am!
Lol loved this tune David. I am sure the boys that are holding the line in Ottawa will enjoy this tune as well. The Trucker Convoy has brought allot of attention to Canadian. Protests are the new normal here now. Mind you people are wishing the party would wind down so we can get back to shivering and shoveling snow. :-). Nice to see Tater Tots resurface. He is one of my favorite story tellers. Loved the lyrics. Out here in the west especially in Alberta and Saskatchewan Little Justin is not a very popular fella.
Reminiscent of David Bromberg's lyrics on Nothing Left To Lose David!
Fun to do a simple blues tune now and then. You could have sent me the stems and I would have played guitar for you...lol No seeds, please.
Made me smile.

Billy

That's funny Mario! Thanks!
Mr. David Snyder...

Whoa! This one sounded like Mr. Spock mind-melded Howlin' Wolf and Bob Dylan. The 'lectric gee-tar FX yielded a consciousness-altering solo performance experience of positively psychedelic intesity. Reently, you've released some very innarestin' things out of your musical laboratory, Doc Frankenstein. Hope the moon stays full for ya'! smile

Thanks Bloc-head. I am glad you liked it!

Well now!

Two unique peeks into our human condition.

Kinda like Chinese Sweet & Sour sauce.

Fun stuff.

I hear the essence of a great country song in there. Nice lyric, and groove. I think the mix is a bit full, sometimes less is more. Great Job!

+1
You're a creative dude David! Thanks, Torrey
BIG RIG: Great song, we couldn't sit still!
Your vocal does very well in this song, half spoken, half sung.

Nothing left to lose:
Well, this is some kind of blues.
You really sound desperate David blush
Fine song!

Rob and Anne-Marie
