This was interesting - Knopfler-esqe riffs plus synths and organs.

That's a combination I really haven't heard before.

Cool!

Cool guitar riffs. I was unsure about the synths but they were very cool as well. Super playing...

Thanks, Scott. I was unsure about the synths too. That's why there are now three versions of the tune

the latest one is here:

Enjoyable tune, great selection of instruments / styles.

I liked the image associated with the SoundCloud clip crazy

Well done all around.

Hello Brian
Very good song
Have also experimented a few times with the 511 solo guitar
But I have never been able to get as good results as you did
Did you work with the MultiRiff function ?
Well done
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Hi Andi,

Thanks for your comments,

No, I have never investigated "Multi-Riff" and have no clue what to do with it. I just loaded DIR-FSL.STY and let the solo guitar do its thing. I assume the results are due the chord progressions chosen.

Cheers,

Ghostgum

Great track choice and an excellent mix.

I was going to say Dire Straights meets the Ventures.

An enjoyable piece. Driven, lots of energy.

Those Dire tracks are so distinctively Dire-ish. They really make it sound like you have Mark Knopfler playing for you.

Nicely mixed.

Thanks, Noel. Coming from someone with your expertise, that in not faint praise. smile

You were listening to version 1. You might prefer version 3:

Hello Ghostgum,

Upbeat and tasty!
The tone of the solo guitar is completely different, but the overall sound reminds me of The Ventures.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
