Hi
I have RealBand 2019 build 3

When I record vocal on a track in Real Band, I hear it with volume well balanced with the music tracks but on playback that vocal track volume is very low. I have to do a gain change
of +2 or 3 db on that track to have the same volume as when recording.
I thought it was a problem with my sound card so I did the same thing with Sonar and everything plays back ok, the recording and playback volume is the same.

Maybe someone has an idea of what can be the problem
Thanks

How does the input signal look in the RB meters while recording?
Does it match the output level of the resulting recording?
Just wondering if it is a monitoring path difference between the two or whether you actually end up with a lower volume track than what you sent to RB.

Also, in RB there are few places the playback can be boosted .. Open the DX/FX area for the track and try the Trim knob instead of applying Gain Change (which is a hard written change).

Check the slider in the mixer on the resulting track also, but I assume you did that..

Hi thank you.
The input signal is about the same as the music tracks.
Finaly what I did is lower the volume on all the music tracks and add a little more volume on the input. It works ok like that.

Thks again

I had the same problem in RB the vocals always record way too low. I also turned down the instruments and had the vocals up but when I finished it as a wav file it was still way too low even though it sounded decent in RB on the final playback. Don't know what's happening there? I had my son who's a music and computer genius look at it and he couldn't figure it out. I finally went to Mixcraft8 as my DAW and am going to bring my BIAB files into that and record the vocals in Mixcraft8. It sounded way better. I suppose you could also do that with Audaciaty. Save the individual tracks as wav files and have Audacity import them.
