BIAB is doing something really strange and I am hoping someone else can advise on how to fix this.
Sometimes when I am entering a new song I can no longer type chord letters into the cells and instead when I type a letter, BIAB plays a sound like a MIDI note. The only way I have found to make it stop is to save my songs, close BIAB and start over.
Very frustrating as it is happening almost every session njow.

You may have activated the QWERTY play-along mode. I think it's in the Windows menu of BIAB 2013. Not sure where it is in 2014. Not at a computer now...

The Wizard Playalong can be found in BIAB 2014 in the Play menu close to the bottom of that list.

Didn't know it would do that. So I can play and record notes from my keyboard? If so, can I make them play different instruments - like a trumpet or sax?

Yes, you can.
For more information read the help to the "Wizard Playalong Feature".
Excerpt: "... The Wizard is a "play along" feature that allows you to use the computer keyboard to play along with Band-in-a-Box. The neat part about the Wizard is that it ensures that whatever you play sounds good!
The Wizard will also play Harmonies according to the Thru harmony setting, and, if you press R to record, the Wizard part will be recorded.

Guido Thanks for the location of that. But, according to the Help "The Wizard is only active during playback." and this is happening to me NOT during playback but during entry of chords! I guess I'll try just turning this feature off to see if that makes it stop happening.

looks like it is a bit buggy and starts playing notes even when playback is not occurring! but I turned the feature off as you guys suggested and that solved my problem!! Thanks Guys!!!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
