This style is litterally empty, its size is less than 1 ko. My recommendation is to delete it from your BIAB folder, to not spoliate your Stylepicker displays with a ghost style.

Eddie, ZZLATADJ.STY is a utility style used while manually adjusting latency settings.
The style loads a midi driven soft synth click through one channel (say the left channel) and an audio file generated click through the opposing channel. The user listens and manually adjusts latency settings until both clicks occur at the same time.

So, please don't delete it. You may need it one day.

Plot thickens indeed Btw, how do you know this? The style has no Memo or even the usual automated Memo, and nothing is said about it inside the Style Picker dialogue either

Interesting. I just tried using this style and although it indicated a MIDI electric fretless bass there was nothing coming through either my speakers or headphones. Total silence.
This looks like, to me at least, a blank style that you can make into a style of your choice. That is make a new style completely from scratch. Am I wrong about this?
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Jim's explanation above makes sense given the name of the style
ZZ = PG Music fundamental style
LAT = Lat(ency)
ADJ = Adj(ust)
Thanks, Jim. I'd never have worked this one out.

Well, there is still Mario's point to be answered (and I'm not hearing anything from anywhere in this style either)...

Interestingly, I reported this back in 2009 (see the bottom entry in the list). I don't think I got an answer then. http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showthreaded&Number=230923&site_id=1I'll have to take a look at this and maybe look back through my files to see if I have anything else on this.

Jim is correct, and this is still in use. Go to Preferences, MIDI Driver, and click on the Latency Adjust button near the lower left. You will get a one-chord song called "Untitled Song" with the style, ZZLATADJ.STY You use this to coordinate the timing between MIDI and audio.
Don't delete the style.

Jim is correct, and this is still in use. Go to Preferences... Ok, the rest of those instructions explain a lot, and I think you can guess what's coming - We don't gut nuffin' of all that on our peasant version

Seems likely, yes. I just found it amusing this time around, given that you and me have been involved in a few threads with of that kind in such a short time I am, however, glad I went into this place to ask about this one, for had I done so over at the Mac counterpart, we'd be scratching our heads for who knows how long!

Horrors of the very ancient days of 8.3 filenames strikes again. ! It does make you reflect, though. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm looking at our "Mr. Midi" expert Mario here), but I don't think PGM has added any more to those 'regular' styles since the dawn of Realtracks(?)

Could be. A quick look through the separate folders that start with Styles shows Styles77 contains files dated the end of 2008. The earlier numbered folders date to 2007 or older. So, your assumption about 'regular' MIDI styles could be correct. I am not including Supertracks, nor anything that might have been supplied by bonus paks.
Mario, Notes and others routinely present eloquent cases here for more emphasis on MIDI development.

And wouldn't it be nice if they would open up SuperUserMIDITracks to us (liek they did with UserTracks to complement RealTracks), which uses the new MIDI engine (that we unfortunately know very little about, although I think it slices and dices more like the RealTracks engine rather than the old StyleMaker MIDI engine - but I'm just speculating).
MIDI StyleMaker is really designed to create a complete MIDI style all within the StyleMaker, but SuperMIDITracks seem to work more like RealTracks, where you select them individually and combine them into a style.
It would be nice to make our own SuperMIDITracks; I'm sure Bob Norton would have a field day with that and I certainly would be in line to buy his offerings.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
