Still having fun with BiaB 2018, I am opening old midi Styles/songs, changing progressively the instruments to RTs. I discover that a lot of the demo songs for the styles have "gone"(?). As an exemple, I take the midi (multi)style "-UrbFlk+", listen to the demo in the style picker (demo from internet) and when I want to load the demo song, I get the "chicky" answer "not found". Whaaat? The style itself is well loaded, but no demo song available... How can I find these demos, which were well there under BiaB 2017? Bernard
Thanks for the quick reply video track (is this the new Video Real Tracks feature? ah! ah!)
so, yes, I have downloaded patch 505 (yesterday) and I am ready to try the "button" bb cleanup exe (although I am a bit "unsure"..) but what will it be good for if the demo for the style is not to be found anywhere in my order BiaB 2018??
Next question: do you have this style yourself (-UrbFlk+) and if yes, does the demo works? As already said, it is not one, but quite a lot of other (MGUs with midi instruments)files which return a "not found" when trying to open the corresponding demo.
I remember that, in older BiaB versions, you had to have the style AND the demo song with exactly the same name in the bb file (reason why the bb file was sooo big...) Bernard

Yes, I have the style '-UrbFlk+' and the demo plays. However, while it states that there are two files, only one plays. When clicking the button with the chevron there is no audio until it is pressed again.

err, just a second, you are cheating!!! When I press the button to play the demo, I hear it too on my machine... But the file is downloaded (or streamed) through internet. Just when I then press "load song demo" I get the "not found" tag.
I have now "pressed the button" and started the clean-up.exe. A lot of files have been checked (and nothing exploded in my computer!). Unfortunately, nothing has changed and I still get the "not found" screen (aaargghh!). I will try again tomorrow after a reboot of the computer.
Now, the scoop! I have rebuilt the song list (takes ages for 15.000 files!) and see there, when I search for "-UrbFlk+" there is a hit! And I can then load it! The file description, within the song list, tells me that the file would stay within the drums-demo file. But actually it is not there!! It becomes darker and darker! Bernard
OK, was just a joke! Problem is (reason why I think this should be adrerssed to by PG, even if this does not urge..)
1) The missing demo song is not the only one. Check and try to open all (midi instruments)demos around the -UrbFlk+" and you see there are a lot "missing" which were there in BiaB 2017)...
2) Actually, the demo song IS there (somewhere). As reported, if you look for the title, searching this time not in the Style picker but within the song list, you will find it and be able to load it "normally". So its just a software problem (ok easier said than done!) Bernard
I had already reported this issue on 01/15/2016. At that time,It was about user styles songs demos, when I input my user styles demos songs in a special folder. It WORKED up to the 2015 version included. If the song demos *.mgu or *.sgu files are not in the BB folder, that don't work. PG music people has requested me more information to investigate further, I gave it them. Nobody cares about that and nothing happens. Now we get the same issue because the BB folder is reorganized in the 2018 version.
Up to now, I had been focusing on one song in particular (-UrbFlk+) and the song picker had situated it inthe drum-demo folder. But I could not find a file with this name in the drum-demo folder...
Now I have checked an other style (-Timba+) and like for the first one, I get a "not found" (mind you "not found" applies only for the demo song, the style itself maybe loaded)in the Style picker, but find it right as a song under the song picker (?).
The song picker tells me that the demo file lies in the Demo/midi styles demo/styles 76 and there I find it all right and can load it by clicking directly....
Following video Track recommendastion, I have already set the bb cleaner.exe but with no effect... Bernard

As metioned in my earlier reply: "I think that there are currently no Song Demo's inside BiaB for any of the "Misc." set for 2017-11." This has been reported.

I confirm the problem concerns all "MISC" styles... But, of course, I have a lot of those...
JLuke, I cannot place the demo songs in the demo file because I dont know where all the demos are at the moment, they are not to be found in one place... I will try with one or two demos but I have to search for each one. Bernard
After having checked, I confirm as an axemple, that the demo song for the -Timba+.sty actually IS in the Demos/Midi styles Demos/Styles 76 (Timba.MGU). I have not placed it there myself, it WAS already there, and I still get a "not found" when trying to load the demo from the Style picker... Strange!
Thanks, yes that happens with a group of styles we made several years ago that are all MIDI but have RealDrums on the Drums track (the ones that start with - ) We will fix that.
As already explained, I am "having a lot of fun" starting with an "old" song with midi instruments and replacing them one after the other with RTs (mind you, sometimes, I even keep an original midi instrument after having tried RTs alternatives. Guitars are changed everytime, but pianos are sometime better as midi instruments because RTs are of course not using the original notes of the song. Now, on top, there are enough midi HQ instruments either, so that I may spend hours looking for the "right" instrument... Bernard
