Hi all
Can any of you expert software users tell me the purpose of the files in that BIAB puts in in c:\Users\public\tickets
I only ask as after my recent upgrade over an already upgraded 2017 mega pak for 2017 plus ultra pak. I had to do some editing of my 2017 ticket in C:\BB\TicketsActivated
then you have to delete the tickets in c:\Users\public\tickets and then re-run Band-in-a-Box .
In actual fact I deleted everything in c:\Users\public\tickets duh!
Should I have done this??? As there were Tickets and stuff in there going back for my earlier versions and upgrades .
I must say everything seems to be working fine after my massive download and install
Very smooth job.
Just curious as to if I should rescue the old other stuff from my recycle bin
In case its loss will come up and bite me in the future.
Your thoughts appreciated

As I understand it (rightly or wrongly)....
The folder you mention is tied up with BIAB's activation. If you've activated your software and all seemed to be processed ok, then there should be nothing to worry about.
If, after 30 days, you get a message to says that your free trial period has expired, then contact PG Music and explain the situation to them. They will have all your records and will be able to put everything back in order (if need be).
From what you describe, though, I anticipate that all is good.

Hi Mike,
With 2017 BiaB you can click on "Help" then select the bottom choice, "Activate Band-in-a-Box". The program tells you if the serial number you entered is still active.

Probably one of the most important features, is that it provides information to BiaB as to where the user has their existing installation installed.
That way, when upgrading etc, the install program can make recommendations where to install updates, RealTracks, RealDrums etc.
This information is stored in the file "Band-in-a-Box Folder Locations.txt"
My recommendation: 'Don't Delete'! This folder is completely managed by BiaB itself.
BTW, the folder is called "c:\Users\public\ticket" (not plural)

Well I will try to put it back and see what happens later today making sure of course that I don’t put the wrong ser no version back for 2017.
I will wait a bit in case anymore thoughts from you guys today.

This gives me all my previous tickets back to when I first installed BIAB on this machine ,including trail and full for all versions I have purchased to date.
Very pleased to say everything seems to be fine so I will leave it at that and keep my fingers crossed.
Must say my new Ultra plus pack is just awesome well worth the upgrade.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
