Have for a long time been looking to be able to Output Chords to my MIDI T C Helicon Voice Works, while at the same time getting sound from the two MIDI tracks Soloist and Melody.

With the aid of a former colleague we succeeded by:
Installing a Roland USB MIDI interface (UM-One) and connect its MIDI IN to MIDI IN of a Roland XV-5050 Sound module, then from the XV-5050 MIDI OUT to MIDI IN of the Voice Works, which now receives MIDI IN. Sounds from the XV-5050 and the Voice Works go into my PA.

The Real Sounds from BB go via a USB Audio Interface and (via a cross over filter) into my PA and two bass amps.

So I am happy to say I am back “in business”.

Brgds,
Tonnie

PS In spite of the XV-5050 being an USB module, we were unable to have it pass on chord info to the VW this way, so we had to use MIDI. This can be the result of us being unable to find the correct setup for the XV-5050, or a flaw in BB, as we were also unable to get the right result using another USB synth module (SC-8820).
