Hallo,
wer weiß Bescheid?
Ich habe mir das Update Biab und Realband Mega-Pack 2008 auf 2009 für 59$ gekauft.
Um ein wirklich frisches Programm zu haben, löschte ich die alten Programm-Versionen und installierte das Update.
Da ich aus dem alten Pluspack noch die CD Realtracks hatte, habe ich diese auch noch installiert. Das dauerte sehr lange und am Ende war meine Festplatte voll.
Was war passiert? Diese Realtracks-CD legte alle Real-Tracks als *.wav und *.wma Dateien ab.
Die *.wav-Dateien sind riesig und haben meine Festplatte voll gemüllt.
Die RealTracks aus dem Update legen nur *.wma-Dateien ab.
Kann ich die *.wav-Dateien löschen?
Gibt es diese CD auch als neuere Version?

Hallo Helmut,
die alten RT-Installer haben m.E. immer .wave und .wma parallel installiert. Erst bei späteren Versionen konnte man dann bei Installation entscheiden ob, entpackt werden sollte.
Aber warum hast Du überhaupt die alte RT-CD noch über 2009 installiert? Beim 2009er Mega sind doch die RT-Sets 1-6 dabei, andere dürften damals mit der 2008er doch nicht mit gekommen sein.
Außerdem musst Du dann auch noch die RT-Updates von der Supportseite runterladen, damit die älteren 2008er RTs kompatibel zu den neueren Styles von 2009 sind. Oder hast Du nur die RT-Sets größer 6 von der alten CD installiert?
Die .wave-Dateien kannst du im übrigen problemlos löschen, bzw. das im RT-Dialog auch automatisch von Biab machen lassen.

Hallo Ralf,
Dein Tip mit dem Löschen war gut. Jedoch den Button zum automatischen Löschen im RT-Dialog von BiaB 2009 habe ich nicht gefunden. Musste jede Datei einzeln löschen.
Ich hatte RD >6 aus dem Plus-Paket und RT 10-12 installiert.
Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass BiaB 2009 nur RT 10 anzeigt. RT 11 und 12 werden unterschlagen. Wenn ich mir die RT-Lib auf der Festplatte ansehe, scheinen die RT 11 & 12 vorhanden zu sein. Ob man sie unter BiaB verwenden kann habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert.

Hallo Helmut,
wma/wave-Tausch, geht glaube, ich über "Archive" und "Install" im RT-Dialog. Kann aber gerade nicht nachsehen, da vorgestern meine interne Festplatte im Musik-PC offenbar den Hitzetod gestorben ist. Hatte ein neues DVD-Laufwerk direkt darüber eingebaut, dessen Gehäuse zu heiß wird. Sehr ärgerlich so ein GAU, hoffe dass ich übers Wochenende wieder alles sauber installiert bekomme. Backups sind da.
Die Sache mit den nicht angezeigten RT's ist ein bekannter Bug. Es wurden anfangs auch einige Add-Ons nicht angezeigt im Dialog "Welche Erweiterungen habe ich". Das wurde aber mit einem der Updatepatches seit Erscheinen im Dezember gefixt. Aktuell kannst Du auf der PGMusic-Support-Seite Build 282 runterladen. Damit sollte es eigentlich gehen.

Lieber Ralf,
kann deinen Rechner-Gau gut nach empfinden. Die Festplatte meines schnellen Musik-Rechners wurde bei dem Formatieren einer externen USB-Festplatte gelöscht. Es dauert bestimmt noch 14 Tage bis alles wieder drauf ist. Einen Vorteil hat die Verjünguns-Kur der Rechner ist sehr viel schneller geworden.
Das Update Biab 2009(282) ist bei mir schon drauf. Real Tracks 11 und 12 werden weiterhin nicht angezeigt, mann kann aber mit ihnen arbeiten.
Viel Erfolg beim Einrichten Deines Rechners.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
