I have Realband 2014 with latest Patch 6 installed. I am using CoyoteWT for midi and Realtracks for audio.
Issue 1: I generated a 14 track song ending at bar 23 with no repeats and no 2 bar ending. Track 14 is a Midi Solo 153 Country Swing Piano. Midi sound was Program 2 Bright Acoustic piano which was then set to 115 Steel Drums after generating the track.
Parts of this track were then deleted past bar 14.5. However when played through the Steel Drums repeat past bar 23 for another 14.5 bars before stopping. The other 13 tracks stop at bar 23.
I tried selecting and deleting track 14 past bar 23. There are no notes showing in the Notation window or the Piano Roll past bar 23. The only work around I found is to export the track as a wav file and then import it. However then I lose the midi note editing feature.
This problem also occurs in other RB files I tried.
Issue 2: When highlighting and copying a midi section it will not paste when Single Clicking the Okay button in the Paste Window. However if I Double Click the Okay button, it opens 2 Audio Edit windows of 2 tracks above the midi track. When I close those windows I then will see the midi section pasted where I wanted it.
I have shut down the program and restarted the computer. Still doesn't work properly. Could this be a bug? Can't remember how to reset to factory settings. Not listed in the Help manual.
Anyone else having these problems ? Thanks for your help. Carkins
Issue 2: Weird; I cannot duplicate the issue with clicking the OK button, but if I set the Paste point (pasting MIDI to the same Track) to be at 1|0 of the measure, it pastes where the previous cursor was (could be anywhere in that measure like 1|448 in the event list)
This issue may have been a pre-existing problem, as I am still on 2014 ver 3 on this machine and the same series of steps yields weird results ..
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
VideoTrack : No I didn't Regenerate because I wanted to use the edited part and Regeneration overwrites that.
I did try Regeneration of that track just for kicks and that new rendition also repeated past the end of the song.
Could there be some setting peculiar to midi that has to be checked or entered somewhere to stop it at the last bar other than in the box up in the Song toolbar?
The highlighted section of a track can take priority over the bar settings .. depending on how you generate.
If I click generate using the image below, and select 'Generate Realtrack' or such, it will generate the highlighted section, and not stop at Bar 12 (as in the Song box you mention, if that was what you meant). Instead it'll generate to bar 23-24 or so ..

Yes there is a BUG with the window layers, same thing happens in other windows like a VST, you click on something and it don't work so you double click and it goes to the track window underneath and opens the Audio edit window.
Glad to see someone else has has experienced the same BUG with the midi paste/double click scenario.
I think there is a problem with my song file as I am able to generate a midi solo in another song and it does stop at the designated end bar.
Note that this problem carried over to any Save As versions of the problem song.
What I ended up doing is opening a New song and Importing the tracks of the problem song that I had converted to individual wav files.
However this also required re entering the chords from the old song into the chord window of the new song as they had changed after Importing. Not sure why.
I was not able to Copy and Paste the wav tracks between the old and new songs. Had to use the Import Menu However I was able to Copy and Paste the midi tracks between the 2 songs. Is this normal?
Would be nice to have two RB songs open and drag and drop or copy and paste any track between them like you can with BIAB and RB.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
