Hi again. Finally I believe I have the Midi sound drivers sorted especially with the 2018 upgrade so at least the keyboard can be put to use. Before that just some more questions or perhaps some suggestions to previous post I can be directed to re Midi.

There are a few query's so will refer some to the Biab forum as well. Unfortunately I have a lot to learn with Midi.
My Midi requirements are very basic. Real Tracks generally offers me the sound I am looking for as I am just making backing tracks so there are only odd times this cant be achieved.
However to add that riff with Midi to make the song from just a bunch of chords to a recognizable tune, I want to use Real Band with my keyboard....when I get my head around it.
My setting there are ..

No issues here with sound or latency.
So again I presume when I create a Midi track here and right click to Programmes and select the instrument - I am selecting the Coyote DXi instruments???

And then I play around and get this...????

Do I have to do anything here.

And that leads to another question of Sforzando???
Do I need that and how do I use it. Again I presume it is another DXi or VSTi. And to get more complicated there apparently is Amplitube?? I don't mind reading if someone can direct me to where this is all explained.
Thanks in advance

Your last image is the key when using a single synth for multiple tracks (at least for me).

It shows the MIDI channel and what sound is selected for that MIDI Channel.
The real way to know what track info is going where is to:
Look at the Event list for the Track (are these events on channel 1, or 3 or?

Then go to that synth screen view (for whatever synth is assigned to that track) and see what sound is assigned to that MIDI channel.

It's often a good idea to go ahead and hard write a patch change to the track for that MIDI channel. Especially if you are moving the project between different software choices.

Make your sound your own!
.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
