If we set chord display normal, set A minor key, enter Am, Em, Dm, Em, then all seems correct.
Now change chord display to i-types, or Nashville.
The Am chord is displayed as a 6m or vi chord. It is but only in the key of C! The Am chord should be a i minor or 1m chord in the key of A minor.
Chords in natural minor keys follow the pattern, minor diminished major minor minor major major.
i – A minor, A minor seventh (Amin, Amin7) iidim – B diminished, B minor seventh flat five (Bdim, Bm7b5) III – C major, C major seventh (Cmaj, Cmaj7) iv – D minor, D minor seventh (Dmin, Dmin7) v – E minor, E minor seventh (Emin, Emin7)
What am I not understanding? or is this a known bug?

In the Display option (inside Preferences) you find a checkbox that says "For Roman Numerals of Chords in minor keys, use relative major". Try unchecking this box and see if things now look/behave as you prefer it.

I think I spoke too soon.
Most think a Cmaj chord or a III chord is in the key of A minor, but not biab! Biab wants a C#maj for a III chord in A minor. The Fmaj or VI or 6 chord biab turns into a F#maj chord. ? The Gmaj or VII or 7 chord biab turns into a G#maj chord. ?
The other chords agree. Does anybody know what is going on here? Why are not key of A minor chords like the below?
i – A minor, A minor seventh (Amin, Amin7) iidim – B diminished, B minor seventh flat five (Bdim, Bm7b5) III – C major, C major seventh (Cmaj, Cmaj7) iv – D minor, D minor seventh (Dmin, Dmin7) v – E minor, E minor seventh (Emin, Emin7) VI – F major, F major seventh (Fmaj, Fmaj7) VII – G major, G dominant seventh (Gmaj, G7)

It's a bug.
Major scale in semitones goes like: 0,2,4,5,7,9,11, where root is 0 differences in semitones, next note is 2 semitones higher, etc.
Minor scale in semitones: 0,2,3,5,7,8,10, -- THEY'RE DIFFERENT
Biab just uses the major scale semitone mappings, for both the major and minor scales/chords.
A BUG!
So, Cmaj which should be a III or 3 in the key of A minor does not exist in biab A minor chords, as it uses the major or 0,2,4,5,7,9,11, mappings, so a 3maj becomes a C#maj chords. This affects the 6 or VI and the 7 or VII chords as well.
What is the best way to report bugs to biab? It would seem to be post on the forums, make sure it is not operator error or lack of understanding, then what? email and reference the post?
This way it cuts down on spurious bug reports. Does anybody else see this issue?
