Does anyone have some cool changes for this tune?

Finally, I have found a cool signature with sufficiently dry humor.

Although the song you want is not at this site, there are a lot of "cool chords" here:

Is this what you are looking for:

C#m A B7 E C#m
Somewhere beyond the sea,

A B7 E G#7 C#m
Somewhere waiting for me,

B7 E C#m A C#7 F#m
My lover stands on golden sands

B7 Cdim C#m A F#7 B7
And watches the ships that go sail - ing.

E C#m A B7 E C#m
Somewhere beyond the sea,

A B7 E G#7 C#m
She's there, watching for me.

B7 E C#m A C#7 F#m
If I could fly like birds on high,

B7 Cdim C#m A B7 E E7
Then straight to her arms I'd go sail - ing.

Bridge:

A F#m7 Dm6 E7 AM7 F#m7
It's far, beyond a star,

D6 E7 A AM7 F#m7 G7
It's near, beyond the moon;

C Am7 F G7 C Am7
I know beyond a doubt

F G7 Gdim Cdim B7
My heart will lead me there soon.

E C#m A B7 E C#m
We'll meet beyond the shore,

A B7 E G#7 C#m
We'll kiss, just as before;

B7 E C#m A C#7 F#m
Happy we'll be, beyond the sea,

B7 Cdim C#m A F#7 - B7 E
And never a - gain I'll go sail - ing.

I'd rather Bnatural.
If called C# after C I'd be chromatic and I already have enough big words to describe my condition without getting Chromiumitis.

Wow, I've never heard that one in minor mode.

The classic Bobby Darin is based on Rhythm Changes.

|F Dm|Gm7 C7|Am Dm|Gm7 C7|Am - |Bb C7| etc. Notes prolly got 'em right if I know Bob...

And it SWINGS.

I uploaded a version of "Beyond the Sea" based on the Darin recording to the Yahoo "Band-in-a-Box" group awhile back, if you want to download it...

Have I told you how much I like your tag line:
""You play pretty good--for a girl."

Always makes me smile.

I play with a group of bandmates and we have a lady bass player. I can't tell you how many times folks comments to me after a gig, "Oh, I see you have a girl bass player". I am never quite sure how to respond other then, "You see right".

What's with people? Don't they know women can excel at anything they put there mind to!

Jazzmandan:

LOL! Yeah, that's what I've been hearing since I was 15-16... Given the fact that I've played with a few folks like Lou Rawls, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, etc., I still find it funny that when somebody asks "what I play", and I say "guitar", they say, "How nice..." (And you can tell they're thinking "Kumbaya" on a flat-top/steel-string...) :-)

The time is around 1985. We have a job and our drummer did not show. In the audience is one of my guitar student’s father and he said he had a daughter who could play drums. So I said, “go get her”. She was just 16 but she played one hell of a set of traps. We hired her that night. She played with us for the next 10 years.

We ALWAYS got the “Wow, she plays pretty good—for a girl”! I would say, “what does that mean”? The answer was always err, ah, well she’s NOT a guy!

I must confess that in my 47 years of playing guitar she was the best drummer I have ever had! Not fancy, not flashy but steady and every fill she played always fit.

Thanx Lady Jazzer for bringing back very fond memories.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
