Is there an updated video featuring the new mixer somewhere?

Thanks,

I can say this. The spinners were always there. And I messed with them. But snapping to zero the tracks I don't want, and adjusting the rest has been a revelation. I'm running through stuff and 'fixing' it.

This is a great addition and worth a few pesos.

As someone said, buy a few CD's and you can't change the key, the artists etc.

I just messed about with some country tune with a new Bret Mason style. YIKES I liked it. It was just C and Dm. Sounded so cool I wanted a cowboy hat!

The bad thing is that you've got to get the cowboy boots to authenticate the hat, ... and they're mighty uncomfortable!

I had a pair way back and they fit me so well. But my feet have spread out, and flattened and who knows. I doubt it's an option.

Thank you for the video Peter. It was very good.
Is this a new mixer to replace the old one or an additional one?
This mixer is so simple and practical. Very nice.
I would upgrade for this feature alone it is so well done.

Thanks, Wayne

That is a combination of features that were hard to manage well with the 'spinners'. I love this thing. You can pull down all the volumes and then get them right. For the stereo types here they can pan away (and generalize).

I think it's something everyone who uses band in a box a lot will love. Tally up the hours, if you spend 5 hours a week on Band in a Box the cost of the 100 buck or so upgrade is a very affordable hobby. And you still get the money back like or return it in 30 days.

One more question.
Will this mixer be in RealBand and PowerTracks?

I use PowerTracks for all my recording and would love to use this mixer in PTPA.
Is it in RealBand. I would switch to RealBand then. (Old dog syndrome here)
If the new mixer was put into PTPA I would buy the next upgrade.

Thank you, Wayne,

Hi John,
I feel the same way about the spinners. I have a hard time working them and I can't get a picture of what my levels are. This new mixer looks perfect.
I hope they put it in their other programs, PTPA and RealBand.

Always glad to see you John,
Wayne,

P.S. I loved your remark about using guitars for firewood. I'm a guitar player who wished he would have listened to his mother and took up the accordion. I could have been a piano player.

It's always been there. Just click on the mixer tab. It's way more extensive though.

Thanks John,
What I was asking is the new BIAB mixer going to be in other PG programs.
Watching the video really makes this mixer look much easier to work with. I like the horizontal sliders also.

I would doubt that they would add another mixer to RB or PT. The mixer in these programs is much more conventional. One thing though that would be nice is the ability to change parches from the mixer window like the new BIAB mixer.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
