Thanks for the links! I enjoyed them! I had never heard Kiah Victoria before (first link); loved her voice, especially how she could perform power passages without a trace of yelling. I'd never even heard of Postmodern Jukebox. But I know Haley Reinhart from American Idol. She was probably my 2nd favorite contestant in the show's run (tied with Melinda Dolittle). (My favorite, and one of my top 20 all-time female vocalists is Kelly Clarkson.) Radiohead's "Creep" is one of my all-time favorite recordings. Haley's interpretation is unique, but I think the single element that makes the original a masterpiece is the asynchronous thrashing guitar licks, as the singer comes apart emotionally. No such guitar in the Postmodern Jazz recording. Haley has fantastic timing and phrasing, as your third link, "All About That Bass"shows. I bought Haley Reinhart's first album. Here is her first single "Free" (on her first album). I thought it one of the best singles of the year 2012. Great tune and performance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1ed3bSjqSII have a large number of Elton John's albums, but had never liked "Bennie and the Jets". Seeing him live didn't change my mind. But Haley Reinhart did. Here is her version of "Bennie and the Jets" (it's quite a different interpretation). Yeah, Haley has a great voice. 'Free' seems to have all the 'hit' formulas nec and Bennie was a great rendition. I saw Elton John play in HK and love his work.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
