Just when things at home start settling down you get kicked in the teeth again. Earlier this year, my wife Kay developed pneumonia in both lungs. As a result, she had a couple of seizures and this resulted in her brain getting a bit muddled. We were told by 2 doctors & a registrar she had early dementia. Before she left however we were told she'd had epileptic fits and has been getting treatment for that.
She hasn't been right since all this happened in April.... Anyhow, early evening yesterday, she fell down the last few stairs here and fractured her hip. She's getting a full hip replacement sometime today.
Never rains but it pours

Oh Graham

What terrible news.

Sending an unbelievable set of positive thoughts for you both.

Hope that there is fast, excellent progress.

Graham,

first of all, my heart goes out to you and your dear wife in this time of incredible difficulty. I can't even imagine having to deal with that level of challenge. I appreciate that you feel bonded to this community enough to share such news. That indicates a high degree of trust. Please keep us posted.

You will be in my prayers.

I completely agree with Pat.

You both are in our prayers.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Pat Mario & Trev, thanks a million guys. She had her op this morning and had just finished lunch when I went in. She's still in a lot of pain, but was enjoying a laugh with us. It's our sense of humour that's kept us both sane this year.

Graham,

I'm thankful the hip operation went well. My thoughts and prayers will follow you and Kay as she endures recovery and rehabilitation. Kay is fortunate to have you supporting her.
