The Paradox Of You #4 Here is my take on Joanne Cooper's fine lyrics. It took quite much time to get decent vocal track, because my voice was breaking and even Melodyne couldn't fix all issues. The mix has also some small problems, I have started to use Sonar because of the Melodyne integration, so new tool and new things to adjust I think this is the 4th song with the lyrics so I have added number 4 after the title so that this one doesn't get mixed up with the other ones I hope you like it despite the problems. All comments welcome. And if there is a soft soulful male voice willing to replace my vocals, I'm more than happy to hear that one, too Instruments provided by BIAB once again. I love the new fretless bass RTs RealDrums: Metal, MetalSlowBigTomGroove RealTracks: Fretless Bass #2937 Synth Piano #1410 Electric guitars: #2448, #634, #1236, #678 Vocals: Janne S Mixed in Sonar Platinum lyrics by Joanne Cooper
Listening to the pouring rain I know the sun will come Light from dark dry from wet When wintertime is done
I see myself as the earth And you the vast blue sky Sometimes I keep you grounded And you just let me fly
Chorus I love it when we talk I love the silence too I love the yin and yang of life The paradox of you
You are my harmony the balance that I find through the windows of my days In corners of my mind
Sometimes you are the roots growing in the night Sometimes I am the leaves bathing in your light
Chorus I love it when we talk I love the silence too I love the yin and yang of life The paradox of you
Bridge In and out, hot and cold Fear and courage, young and old Good and bad, salty sweet Up and down, messy neat
Chorus I love it when we talk I love the silence too I love the yin and yang of life The paradox of you---------------- Janne

Janne,
I enjoyed listening.
The backing feels really nice and comfortable and your arrangement is great. As I said on Soundcloud, I found this perfect for just closing my eyes and letting the music carry me along on its current of sound. Definitely one to be proud of.
All the best, Noel
P.S. Apologies for missing some of your songs. Unfortunately I was out of action for a bit due to circumstances beyond my control.

Janne you had me from the first measure. This is fantastic. I really like the groove you have going one here.
You what I would love to hear? This song in your native language!
Excellent version.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Excellent chord progression, melody and all round composition. Some really nice changes in there. Haven't played around with the new fretless bass yet - I'll have a listen.

Thanks RichMac for your nice words Glad to hear that my voice wasn't so bad I thought I felt that the lyrics needed an upward going melody, so the majority of the notes are either same or above the previous note, except for the bridge part. Thanks Mario for your very kind words, I'm glad you liked this version That's a very nice idea, in my native language, yes, I have already started to translate it, hopefully a translated version would be ok for Joanne also Doesn't seem to be an easy task, though. Words have more syllables in Finnish, so certain parts like "Light from dark dry from wet" are challenging... but I'll try my best Janne

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
