I'm just starting on real band, so please let me know if I'm missing something....
It doesn't sound like the instruments are playing the correct notes on a very simple progression.
The chords are Ab Db, Ab Db, Ab Db (2 bars each)... etc. But on the third Ab all of the instruments sound like they're still playing over Db. I soloed the bass to confirm, and it is still playing the Db root. I even started a new song and put in the same progression and had the same issue.
Is this a common glitch in Real band? I didn't have the same issue when I was making the same song in BIAB. Any suggestions on a fix?
Thanks in advance!
I do the ChaCha like a sissy girl.

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried regenerating the track to see if that fixes it? You might already be aware of this but just in case you are not..... In Realband if chords are changed, it's necessary to regenerate the tracks because regeneration does not happen automatically (like in BIAB). Always keep in mind that no changes are implemented until tracks are regenerated. It's possible to regenerate tracks individually or in bulk. From what you've written above, it sounds like you need to regenerate the bass track. To do this, click on the track and press CTRL+A to select the track. Now click on the "Generate" icon on the menu bar and select the appropriate option. Regards, Noel

Hi Noel, I have found even in BIAB changes are not always picked up but work after a regeneration. Or is it my imagination?

Tony Hi Tony, That's correct. Not all changes instigate regeneration. The thing to keep in mind is that BIAB generates the backing and, once that's done, it plays. Any time a change is made, nothing is implemented until (re)generation. Regards, Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
