I start Biab 2015, and after a delay, get the message:

---------------------------
Band-in-a-Box
---------------------------
'17-Dec-14' is not a valid date at: 0040B3A6.

Is there any known way to cure this?

Never seen that before

And you know all the usual fixes for weirdness like this: check you have admin priv's,; reboot; reinstall at least reinstall latest patches; etc.

ALSO just throwing it out there: - your SYSTEM clock did not somehow get set to a way wrong date/time, did it?

Good Luck

My System date and time are correct for Melbourne Australia (currently 1400 hrs, 18-Dec-2014)

So I don't know why it showed 17th

My bet is that it is the date format being dd-mmm-yy instead of numerical only mm/dd/yy

I upgraded to Build 412 but get the same error.

It's definitely running as Administrator.

Probably (obviously - duh) one of the files it's trying to read at start up has some garbage in it, or was update/written to incorrectly, or now has read only settings on it and can't be updated, or its trying to reconcile files

you have rebooted PC - just for grins??

Again just throwing darts at the old board (GUESSING) I know it's no real help to you - but good luck (down under)

Thanks for your help Larry.
I've reported to PGM Support. I guess they need to know about it at least.
Will let you know the outcome
Cheers

Trevor,

Have you tried setting your computer's date to the US style just to see if it makes a difference?

You should click on Opt > Preferences, and disable "Automatically check for updates every". That will stop BB from checking, and at least stop that error. We will fix it.

Thanks Noel for the ideas, and thanks Peter for the feedback. At least it is a known problem so can be resolved.
