My last version was 2009 so these may be obvious questions:-

1. When I try to record vocals with Record Audio button the cursor skips the start and jumps to a random bar in the song. In addition drums are then often out of sync with other instruments. Usually fixes if I restart - but don't really want to be having to do that every half hour?
2. I have downloaded one pack of Real Tracks to default bb file but in spite of following instructions in Help (eg rebuild) there is no sign of them in the Stylepicker.

I should say that the only two reasons I have upgraded is to be able to use the new Pro Real Tracks, and secondly to hopefully leave behind ever worsening syncing problems between recorded Vocal melody line and the combo......Would it help to upgrade old Parallels version, or should I give up and buy a cheap dedicated Windows laptop.....

(I find the Mac version of BIAB frustratingly slow because every single practise recording has to be converted to a WAV file before I can listen back to it....)
Further information:- The jumping never happens the first time I record. Only afterwards. Recording still shows as set to begin at start of song.
Now if I restart the problem remains. Also the recording of my voice is now totally distorted even though volume levels are showing as within safe limits. It's a deep booming sound - the same has happened on one occasion to the drum track. I have re-installed BIAB and Parallels to no avail.
I do hope I'm missing something really obvious....
Hi hedy,

I suggest you contact PG Music directly with these questions. I suspect that it's the quickest way to get answers. For what it's worth, I know that Peter Gannon (the PG in PG Music) builds and programs BIAB on a Mac.

Contact information for PG Music can be found under the "Support" link at the top of this webpage.

All the best,
Noel

Thanks - will do that tomorrow. I think he uses Bootcamp though...
I tried it with Parallels 10 but mostly with Realband and it seem to work ok, but I'm not on Mac now so can't try at the moment.
Have you got a Mac Laptop or Desktop ? as you can put another hard drive with windows in with a desktop and use rEFIT as an OS select boot menu, works with Bootcamp also. I would go that way rather than buying a Win Laptop.

Windows Laptops you can take the DVD rom out easily and replace it with a hard drive bay and then boot on Intel Mac or another OS , but Mac Laptops are so Mac only with a sealed in DVD roms that you have to pull the whole macbook apart to change, same with iMacs I had to take the LCD out of one just to put a bigger hard drive in and pull the whole thing apart to clean the CPU fan out instead of just having an access panel on the back with 4 screws, same with iPads-Phones-Pods you a not allowed to put a new battery in you must buy this weeks new Apple.

Sorry but another than that it's all good LOL.
Thanks for the input Solidrock. I am using BIAB on a Mac laptop - your suggestions sound a bit radical for a non-techie like me. However last night I upgraded BIAB Windows 2009 to 2015 on my husband's PC laptop which also runs on Windows 7 and identical crazy behaviour manifested itself! Am now waiting for a response from PG Music.
