Hello the world,

I found an audio demo that has multiple tracks in it and that would fit my song nicely and that demo happens to be for particular RealDrums found on this page:
http://www.pgmusic.com/realdrums.php

RealDrums Set 17: Terry Clarke - Modern Jazz
FusionEv8TerryClarke^Audio Demo[ Artist: Terry Clarke ]

The problem is: besides the RealDrums track that I've found I want to use the RealTracks keyboard and bass tracks found in this demo but I have no idea where to find them. I've spent hours of listening to various RealTracks demos but so far I was not able to find any that would resemble that particular RealDrums demo.

I suppose I could take bass track from one of bossa nova styles and call it good but still finding that kind of a keyboard track remains an issue for me. Can anyone help me, please?

I wish pgmusic would provide full info on what tracks were used in a particular audio demo instead of saying that this is a demo for such and such RealDrums style and leaving me wondering where to get the rest of the really awesome RealTracks that were used in it. It's just freaking cruel: now that I've heard that demo I don't want to settle for less than I heard but there is simply no info on how to "assemble" that demo in BnB frown

Hi Vasily,

Welcome to the forums smile

This might help if you have a recent version of BIAB...

1. Right-click on the Drum track in the mixer window and, from the menu that pops up, select "RealDrums in Song" as shown by the image below.

2. From the window that pops up, scroll up/down until you find the Realdrum track as shown below. Single click on it to select it.

3. Down in the bottom right corner of the Realdrum picker window, there are a number of options for loading song demos. After you've selected the Clarke Realdrum track, one of these demo buttons will help you find what you're after, I suspect.

When you get a chance, let us know the outcome.

Regards,
Noel

This one plays the same as the FusionEv8TerryClarke^Audio Demo[ Artist: Terry Clarke ]:

bb\Drums - Demos\FusionEv8TerryClarke^6-Cycling_100_Demo.MGU

They are midi tracks that's why you couldn't find them:

GROVERW.STY. Grover W (Fusion)
All MIDI. Quintet.
RealDrums FusionEv8TerryClarke^6-Cycling
M36: Fretless Elec. Bass
M5: Electric Piano
M29: Muted Electric Guit
M90: Pad-Warm (Slow)

Thank you guys! Both things you suggested lead to that RD demo:
FusionEv8TerryClarke^6-Cycling_100_Demo

The only confusing thing for me is that in my BnB it shows a different Style for it:

ZZMIAMIP.STY. Miami Sound Machine
All MIDI. Quintet.
M1 Standard Drum Kit, [RD Sub: ** N/A ** ROCKLITEEVEN16: a: ROCKLITEEVEN16b: ROCKLITEEVEN16 :]
M36: Fretless Elec. Bass
M5: Electric Piano
M25: Nylon String Guitar
M49: Strings

Am I missing something that would get me to, I guess, a more accurate style GROVERW.STY. Grover W (Fusion) ?

My next question would be: could a novice user like me who doesn't have an experience with using BnB with a non-default MIDI "engine" do some easy steps that would improve the quality of his MIDI playback? I mean my MIDI playback of those tracks is not as good as that in the RD demo that pgmusic put out...

Thank you, thank you!
Wow, another song demo sounds closer:
-FusEv8 Style Demo

-FUSEV8.STY. FusionEven8
Real and MIDI. Quintet.
RD: FUSIONEV8TERRYCLARKE^6-a,b:Cycling :Terry Clarke
M36: Fretless Elec. Bass
M5: Electric Piano
M29: Muted Electric Guit
M90: Pad-Warm (Slow)

And the instrument numbers are the same as in GROVERW.STY. Grover W (Fusion) which is not bad.

So it looks like I can use it. But still I need to make an effort to improve playback quality of MIDI tracks - of Electric Piano and Pad-Warm at least. They sound a little weird through default MIDI "engine". Any suggestions on how to improve them that are not too complicated for a novice user are really appreciated.

The backup plan, I guess, would be to try substituting at least the MIDI bass for some RealTracks bass from one of bossa nova styles and sink volume down on both MIDI keyboards so that they are somewhat there but don't stick out that much with their default MIDI weirdness smile

I plan to play a nylon strings guitar over it and so keyboards are supposed to be supporting instruments anyway. I just hoped that they would sound "fatter" and cleaner...

Have you got SampleTank installed.
You can also get free VST Instruments if you do a search then just put them in the midi track you need better sound from.
