Hi Folks ,

What is the chord symbol for fourth chords?

Like in all modern jazz songs?

Like in C bass with G,C,F,Bb on top?

Thanks!

I just found the C4 chord.
It kind of works, but not quite.
It will work for a bar or two and then it plays a Maj chord!
Damn!

Why can't it just stick to fourths???

What you describe is stacked fourths, which go beyond a simple sus or 11 chord.

Perhaps if Alan S. sees this thread, he can help. For now, try C7sus

I sure hope someone can tell me what to type in to get the stacked fourths chord!

It's everywhere in modern jazz!

C7sus doesn't cut it.

Actually, C7sus has all the pitches you requested. What's missing is the correct voicing. With RealTracks you can't control that anyway, except possibly by getting lucky on a regeneration.

Right, but you would think with the heavy jazz-oriented side to BIAB some pianist/guitarist (Peter's brother) would have recorded enough 4th chords to do the trick?
