Hi All.

I posted this in the wishlist but no comment. Am I missing something? Can I do this already in BIAB or outside (without a degree in midi computer language programming)?

"I'd love to see a simple menu/method to send out midi program change commands in real time to change patches live on my effects units, Nova, VoiceLive 2 etc. Maybe there is one, but I haven't figured it out? I have a hell of a time trying to change patches as I play to BIAB."

I gave it a +1 because I don't think BIAB has this, and it could be very convenient.

Realband does it easily, if you are comfortable with that.

Yes, as Rharv said, RB is the way to do this. See this post string in the PowerTracks forum: http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=310906#Post310906

I too gave it the thumbs up in the Wishlist section. It's interesting that such a feature hasn't been implemented before now.

A user here wrote a VST plugin that allowed routing MIDI .. I'll go do a quick search .. it may work for this.

The first couple (beta) links in the thread no longer work, you can get it here - http://bandinabox.wikia.com/wiki/VSTi_MidiRedirector_v_1.00

I can't help you with the ads on the site, but the link is at the bottom of the page.

Good bit of research RHarv. Thanks for the link.

Thanks all. I'll have a look at the vst add on. I haven't really looked at realband yet. Perhaps I should! Up to know, I've found BIAB sufficient for my backing tracks which I've actually (following advice) saved as .wav files. However, I now realise my PC setup is fast enough to easily work with BIAB live, hence the question about real time midi patch changes. Glad others want this as well.
