I just fired up a new PC and the chipset included a Creative Labs Recon3i on board. I'd forgotten what a joy "What U Hear" was when it comes to creating Audio...

Gigabyte has a few motherboard with Creative audio, I'm guessing the motherboard you listed is one of them. You might want to check because some of the motherboards also have a 600 ohm headphone receptacle with the headphone op-amp chip plugged into a socket so you can swap the op-amp out to change the frequency profile.

I'm still very much of a Creative fan over both Realtek and Intel audio.

"fly me to the moon -" smile
My ancient box of tricks runs Creative Audigy card and I've always been pleased with it. Didnt know that "what you hear" was semi-unique to them.

Windows 7 used to have "Stereo Mix" but that went away. It's always been a pain to record in Windows since (unless you had advanced drivers like Creative Labs.)

I just found this though .. If you use Audigy (which is pretty good.)
