When i want to assign ("melody/add remove realtracks") a realtrack instrument to the melody track it works; the choosen instrument is there..... BUT : instead of playing the melody of the song (which should be expected), a solo track is heard.

Is it a bug or is there something missing into my assignment ?

Make sure you understand what RealTracks are. They are already-recorded phrases (up to 8 bars in length) that play according to the chord progression you have entered in the chord grid. RealTracks do NOT follow MIDI notes entered on the track (they follow the chord progression, not the notes). Additionally, a track can be either a MIDI track or a RealTrack track, but not both at the same time. So if you have entered a MIDI melody on the melody track and then assign a RealTrack to it, the RealTrack will play instead of the MIDI melody. The RealTrack will play what you have described as a solo, but that's because they are already-recorded phrases that match your chord progression. If you remove the RealTrack, you'll get your midi Melody back.

Just remember that RealTracks do no follow your MIDI note progression.

That being said, you can do some wonderful things with RealTracks on your accompaniment tracks, as you can see by the many song examples posted on the forum.
