Does BIAB still have the ability to use the bottom keys to play and/or record midi?

Hi Russ,

Yes it is. It's called 'Keyboard Wizard' and in my 2017 BIAB it's found under 'MIDI'. The wizard is accessed by following the 1,2,3 on the below image.

For those who don't know about this: Not only is it fun, but it's a useful technique for data entry of tricky rhythms. Key in the rhythm then adjust the pitches later.

Matt,

I wholeheartedly support this approach. The way that BIAB's notation editor works, it is a perfect partner for the keyboard wizard. It also makes writing music possible for those who don't have too much notation background.

It's also great for coming up with new melodies.

Without the black and white keys, I hear things I wouldn't have chosen with my keyboard habits. After that, they can be refined with a little work.
