With BIAB 2017, I am experiencing a delay of about 5 seconds after I press F5 before I see the dialog box appear. It seems to me that it was virtually instantaneous before, just 1 second or maybe 2 at the most. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to shorten the delay?

Jim, every time? Even one right after another?

If it were only the first time in a long session, I might suspect the drive power scheme, that the drive had gone to sleep.

Every time, Matt. Even one right after the other on the same measure...

Jim,

Just to eliminate some possibilities, have you installed the latest update?

It can be found at...

Yep...build 462.

Jim,

Is this happening when you run in Administration Mode?

That is, when you start BIAB, right-click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator"

Yes, Noel.

Jim,

F5 for me is about 1 second, the same as it's always been. I have Win7/64, too.

Have you tried using the "Return to factory settings" choice under the Options menu? Try the lower one first and if that doesn't work, try the upper one.

Before running them, though, save your settings. This is also found under the Options menu.

Regards,
Noel

I checked my Win 7 system and could not repeat that delay. About 1 second, maybe slightly less on this system.

Try the Return To Factory Settings, that Noel suggested.

Yep, Factory Settings would have been my next words.

Returning to factory settings (either level) didn't help.

Restarting BIAB didn't help, either.

BUT - rebooting the computer fixed it. I have no idea what caused it, but it seems okay now.

Thanks, guys, for all your suggestions.
