curly,

It sounds like BIAB hasn't been installed properly. Windows needs to be setup for notation to work properly. This is one of the functions of the setup program.

Did you get your version of BIAB on a USB drive? If so, run the Setup file that's found in the root directory of the USB drive. If you want to run BIAB from the USB drive, simply choose that option when it presents itself during the installation process. (It will be the minimum install.)

If the program has been installed correctly, it needs to be run in Administrator Mode. To do this, right-click on the shortcut icon, select "Properties" from the menu, click on the "Compatibility" tab and then activate the "Run as admin." option.

Let us know how you go.

Noel
Yes, the required fonts were not installed. Follow Noel's instructions.
Hi Noel!

The strange Thing is that, before I uninstalled Acrobate Reader everything works fine. Since that time the Problem starts.
My Band in Box Version I buy it as download Version at Christmas time.
Now I have uninstalled Band in Box install new but the Problem is till now.
Curly
Sorry, I want to make sure I understand. Did you uninstall, reinstall, and still have the problem?
Curly,

I'm not sure if the settings files get overwritten if you re-install to the original folder.

Try the following and see if it helps...

1. Start BIAB. Under the Options menu, select "Save preferences as..." to create a backup copy of your current preferences.

2. Close BIAB

3. Go to the \bb folder

4. Find the file "intrface.bbw" and rename it to "intrface.old" (notice that there's no 'e' nor 'a' in the file name.)

5. Find the file "mysetup.dk" and rename it "mysetup.old"

6. Start BIAB

Doing the above is the ultimate version of "return to factory settings". It forces BIAB to create brand new set up files.

If this doesn't solve the problem, you can always return to the original settings by going to the Options menu and loading your saved preferences.

Regards,
Noel
