Can someone please tell me where these styles come from - which Pak. I had zero N/A styles with 2017 and just installed 2018 (build 505) with Xtra4 and 49 Bonus. They don't seem to be listed in any of the Xtra paks and I thought I had every style.

Thanks
Tony

They all appear to be from the "2017-16 Misc." set

Here is PG's (Kent) explanation for these N/A styles.

"Those styles have never actually been released, they were just included in the styles list by accident. So there's nothing to worry about, it sounds like everything's installed.
These same ones were showing up in 2017 installations by the way, I'm not sure why you didn't see them until 2018."

If they exist and I guess they do somewhere in PG what are they waiting for?A new xtra Styles pack (number5?) perhaps.

Was this 2017-06 Misc pack a purchasable item?
I thought that I had every Extra, Bonus and Misc pack since 2014 but it looks like maybe I missed one.
Looking forward to Kents answer.
Hi Guys,

Looks like those are the new Registration Bonus Styles, which have just been released today (but haven't been officially announced yet).

As long as you've ordered through the website, or registered a product using a purchased serial number, they should be available for download right now.

They're available for Windows and Mac, and work with any 2017 or 2018 package. Just click on My Account at the top of our website, then My Products, and you should see them listed under "Available Downloads".

Thanks
Kent

Thanks Kent

I'm not sure what "Registration Bonus Style" means but I'm sure all will become clear. Anyway, thanks for the extra styles and I now have zero N/A's.

Tony
This consists of 10 bonus styles that have been constructed using existing RealTracks, Drums, and Loops available in all Band-in-a-Box packages (2017 and higher) for Windows and Mac.

----------------------------------
_OSMIUM - A hard rock style with a RnB horn section. Also included are electric bass, two overdriven electric guitars, and hard rock drums.

_COOL_IT - This modern cool jazz style offers a new take on jazz swing, combining traditional jazz acoustic piano and guitar with half-time cool jazz bass and drums.

_GRIDLOK - A jazz bebop RealStyle with a trumpet solo and a half-time feel thanks to the bass and RealDrums. Electric piano, acoustic guitar, and a drum loop are also included.

_WHIMSY - This country waltz features a solo-accompaniment piano playing a fancy part. Joining in are held organ, electric guitar, acoustic bass, and Nashville drums.

_HAUNTS - An ultra-down-tempo 12-8 country style with a native tempo of 55 bpm. Pedal steel plays held and haunting notes. 12-string acoustic, electric bass, and brushes join in.

_ACHIEVE - This bright pop style features a big-sounding tom groove in the A section, keeping the beat for electric bass, acoustic piano, electric guitar, and 12-string acoustic.

_BEGONIA - A medium-tempo pop rock RealStyle with a held piano playing in half-time mode. Electric bass, two electric guitars, and Nashville drums join in.

_MONTANO - This style is a fusion of even-8 country and two double-time son montuno instruments. Instruments are baby bass, two acoustic guitars, pedal steel, and drums.

_BLAZZ - A playful combination of blues and jazz featuring a traditional jazz alto sax solo. Acoustic bass, two electric guitars, and Multi-Drums join in.

_BONITO - This modern bossa groove includes RealDrums and a drum loop playing in half-time mode. Bossa acoustic bass and piano play in normal time, along with jazz funk muted guitar.

There still don't seem to be any audio/video demos of these particular "bonus" styles on the Xtra Styles page confused
Hi Icelander,

The Registration Bonus Styles aren't available for sale, and aren't part of the Xtra Styles PAKs, so they wouldn't be included on that page. You'll only find them on your My Products page, with your other download links.

Thanks
Kent

Sounds like you need to update your Style Picker
smirk
Yes, you not just install the things, you need to also go into the program and basically inform it that you installed the things. And that's where updating the Style Picker comes into it.

Do you mean rebuild? I just did that, it said nothing new and still shows 655 N/A?

They all appear to be from 2016 and 2017 Xtra PAK?

The reason you can't find them installed is because these are separate "Bonus" styles, outside of any of the four Xtra Style sets. You simply haven't installed them yet.

Go to the main PGMusic.com website (separate from the forums).
Log into your account using the login button in top right.
This is where you can register your license and find the download links.

When I log in (after registering my Ser #) I get a ton of download links including Xtra stuff.
But at the top of the list currently is the "Registration Bonus" link.

Stuff like this may be a one time offer. One of those things that in future years may be N/A .. but were only available for a short time.

You likely have all the 'current' content, and are just missing historical stuff.
Of course I could be wrong, and if so I hope someone says so and explains.

The image below shows the available Registration Bonus link in My Account after clicking My Products. With the Registration Download extras

Thanks rharv.

I followed your instructions and sure enough I had not downloaded the registration bonus. It included 10 styles. So now I'm down to 645 N/A??????

Do I need to purchase 2016 and 2017 Xtra PAKs or should they have been included with my 2018 ultra pak?

Did you update (Rebuild) your Style Picker after the installation, like I proposed earlier? If not, then that's a vital step in completing the process.

No, and no. The Extra styles aren't "included" with anything, they are optional additions. You may most certainly choose to get them, but you don't "need" to.
Posted By: rharv Re: Where do these N/A styles come from? - 02/09/18 12:48 AM
In my experience there are some styles offered once that may never be available again.
Maybe a license issue with the artist(s), or some other reason.

If you don't have them, it is very possible they are simply not available anymore.

You most likely have received everything currently available, but the compare list in may contain discontinued styles that you 'may have' received in previous years .. though not available now.
I wouldn't focus on getting all styles ever offered, I'd just make sure you have whatever you can get (and bought) and get on to using them.

Some may simply never be offered again .. for various reasons.

Tony,

The xTra style PAKs are available for purchase +++ HERE +++.

PAKs 1 (164 styles) and 2 (161 styles) were released in Auguest, 2016. PAK 3 (160 styles) was released June, 2017, concurrent with the release of Mac 2017. and PAK 4 (150 styles) was released November, 2017, concurrent with the Windows 2018 release. Add all the xTra styles together and you have 635 additional styles.

These styles may use ANY RealTracks (including bonus RealTracks) released through 2017 so you need the Ultra or Audiophile PAK to fully utilize these styles.
