i am sure there is an obvious solution to this.

i recorded a MIDI piano track to the Melody track.

when i play back the song, i hear my piano track

now i want to record a MIDI trumpet track to the solo track.

yet, when i try to record to the solo track, i don't hear the melody track.

i need to hear the piano so i can properly play the trumpet.

what am i doing wrong?

Hi Steve,

Are you 100% sure you selected "Record Onto: Soloist Track" after clicking Record MIDI?

I'm wondering if you may be recording over the existing Melody track, rather than recording new notes onto Soloist.
