I recently heard a song"Ain't No Grave" an old gospel updated by Molly Skaggs"that I want make a backing tract. the verse in "A" Chorus in A and D I think a background finger picking style at 74bpm would work. but I also heard a fellow do a bottle neck slide. slide up the neck and then back that sounds great as emphasis
My question is there a way to do a slide like this in BIAB. I recently upgraded to 2022 but other things have kept me from BIAB, so it might be under my nose and I don't know it. Thanks for any thoughts

You can try using a Hold then pitch shift it with ReaPitch in Reaper using automation.

You can have a look at https://www.indiginus.com/

I haven't seen this done in BiaB itself. I did look to see if the 'Fix Sour Notes' feature might allow this, but couldn't find an indication that this was possible.

This is just a Hold then split it in Reaper and add the pitch envelope
