I have a friend who is moving from Sonar 2 to PT. It does so much more of what he wants.I have a question about TEMPLATES.I'll see if I can keep it simple for clarity. We've created a template that is blank and has VSTis loaded and setup on 8 tracks. These are for drums. Can save and recall the template fine.He has about 300 songs with MIDI drum parts and so we want to convert these to audio files.Of course if I use file/open it overwrites the setup template. If I use file/import it leaves the template intact BUT it also leaves the TEMPO as it is in the TEMPLATE.Any way to overcome this?He can manually change the tempo and will if there's no other way but thought I'd ask.
Thanks

John - As far as I know, the IMPORT FILE command always leaves the tempo at the setting of the template. However, if there are any audio tracks in the file, these are unchanged and still play at the tempo of the imported file. Changing the tempo each time seems to be the only option.

Thanks. I thought so.It'll be just a one shot thing anyway. Once he imports he can then save as a normal SEQ file and reopen them the normal way.
