I need to put a second instance of a VSTi with a different preset on a different track. Can PowerTracks Pro Audio do this?

Yes, use the Port selection by right-clicking the track.
Select another port and assign a second instance of the VSTi to it.
You have 16 more ports to play with.

RAMALAM, rharv,

Before discovering VSTi's never used Power Tracks.

Yesterday spent about 45 minute or so trying to resolve and
answer this post.
Felt a cog was missing when not resolving.

rharv,

Not quite intuitive, but its there very nicely.

Thanks for your help.

After tinkling with the program awhile, I devised
THE RAMALAM METHOD.

(My gift to you.)

1. Go to your first track, right click, choose "Specific VSTi /DXi Synth for MIDI Track."

2. Make your choice from the list.

3. Go to your next track, right click, choose "Specific VSTi/ DXi Synth for MIDI Track."

4. Instead of choosing the same instrument from the list, PRETEND YOU DON'T SEE IT.

5. Select "Add VSTi Plugin . . ."

6. Choose the same VSTi from the folder where you normally store your plugins.

7. The instrument will now be added as an fx, but will play on a different port.
